Just come across your channel. Love your foodie vids, but would also love to see other content too, such as about your house/garden/wardrobe etc but no pressure if you’d rather stick to food and budget x
Ive got the jack monroe books . You remind me the way you cook of her. Very inventive . Her books are incredible . I can save so much just by using her recipes that i would usually never dream of putting together x
Hello from Florida USA!! I just love what a resourceful, scrappy, creative cook you are. Yes on everything!!! Your shopping hauls would cost 3x more here. I had to pause and rewind on your wardrobe organization. You only wear black, white and bright green?? That should be another video! LOL I enjoyed your Greek week as I love Greek food as well (no meat or dairy). Well done! Hugs to Jack
Hello Amanda from Florida! Yes my clothes are black, white, green and leopard. And so is my whole home decor 😹 will do a wardrobe tour soon as you are the second person to request it. I love Greek food too. Jack says hello 👋😸😸
Good morning. Thank you for responding to my comments. Found your posts about a week ago. Now going back to review the historical post. Fun and interests. Some of my best efforts have come from just searching what’s on hand. Looking forward to more! 😊
I discovered your channel just a few days ago, and I am already binging on your cooking videos. I admire people like you who have the skills to create a feast out of a few ingredients. 🙂
Yes! Me too! Would love to know your thinking behind your wardrobe 😊. Hubs and I are currently in Greece for a month and am watching this with great interest. One dish I enjoy in Greece as a vegan is Imam Biyaldi (I believe it is actually Turkish meaning "the Imam faints" probably because it is so good!). We are on a Greek island very close to Turkey so there is quite a bit of Turkish influence here.
I love watching how creative you are with few ingredients. I’m going to do a food audit and see what I can create! Thank you for the inspiration and positivity ❤ Also, just to say, you ask ‘would you eat that?’ And without fail (except skipping the dairy/honey) I absolutely would! Not seen a meal I wouldn’t eat (especially the meatless balls!)
Giving me so many ideas. I love babaganush. The greek rice dish looked divine 😊 I love budget foodie videos & I've got some ideas brewing now for what I can do when I'm back in the UK 🎉
What a lot of work you put into this video, and it covers a great variety of topics: cooking, gardening, thrift, shopping/saving, menu planning, foraging, budgeting etc Very creative and interesting. Making your own bread and milk is pretty hard-core, especially for just one person, and using and re-using lemon skins and veg skins and peels too, well done! Growing your own from leftovers will be easier in warm weather but a great saving. I like the way you check ingredient labels, too.
Wow your prices are amazing based on prices in the USA. Oranges in a bag would be $5.00 on sale, $8.00 normal price. I enjoy your videos. I love your realistic comments, such as I “ I hope it doesn’t kill me.” Makes me laugh and reminds me of myself.
Well that me done today Enjoyed all ur vids today Slowely. Catching up Thanks for sharing I'm now going to catch up on what's going on in the world But ur. Chanel more interesting Take care
Meat and fish play a huge role in Greek cooking. I aso don't see any Greek cheeses like feta, which is unthinkable in Greece.. Tahini, and before you say Hummus, neither are Greek, they are Middle Eastern, whatever British supermarkets try to tell you.
Although meat and fish play a role in Greek cooking, they are occasional foods in traditional fare. A large part of the year the greeks have fasts, where meat and fish aren't allowed. Many meals are based around seasonal veg and legumes. Cheese is also not eaten during fasts. Olives and olive oil are used extensively. Symi near Rhodes produces all sorts of herbs and spices and although oregano mint and dill are most common many spices are used. Hummus is widely available in Greece and often part of a Greek mezze. Not every dish is authentic but you'll find that there are variations right across the islands. Greek cuisine is influenced by Middle Eastern food due to its proximity to Turkey. There are also Italian influences. So if someone tries to eat as Greek as they can, its really a bit unfair to pick them apart for not getting everything as you picture it
