OOPS! Also Viera, You are my go-to person for favorite Christmas Ball Ornament patterns, or instructions. I don't give a flying-one WHAT you call those bumps or picots. I SEE them, I KNOW what they are. When I first started crocheting, I would look these things up, anymore, the basic stiches are familiar to me. There ARE some I have to look up still. They are interesting and challenging at times. It keeps it interesting! Thank you for your continued tutorials! If we don't ALL understand your terminology, we can all appreciate you taking the time to bring more beauty to our lives!! Thank You Viera!
Your instructions are very clear and your videos are wonderful! I am enjoying making this ornament. Have you thought of crocheting a few rows between steps while you tell a short story? Maybe a story about how you learned crochet or a story of one of your special childhood memories ? Or a story about why these ornaments are meaningful to you. Thank you again for showing us how to make this beautiful ornament!
Don't be afraid of calling it picot (pico). Forget about that nasty comment on the other video. I appreciate you taking the time of explaining how to do these nice baubles.
I only struggled with reduction rows. This is something I have always been less than talented at.. I chose to try the smaller ball. After my 6th "Bump" or Picot" row, I repeated row 5, which I fastened off. As I found it neater, (for me) to make a second half, up to a finished row 5, minus the("Bump" or "Picot" rows). I joined the two sections with, (Ch3, slipstitch to a space of the other sections ending row 5) then ch3-slipstitch to my new section's corresponding row 5's, 'space'-then ch3- slipstitch to the next space of row 5 in the first section-ch3-slipstitch to the space in the new section again and on around, then slipstitch and fasten off at the last slipstitch. You could use row 4 to do this with, but I found the little extra vertical space was great for rounding out the ball. I tense up a bit when I crochet. I hope this makes sense. NOTE:: Sorry, you need to slipstitch over to a ch2 space to start your joining process. Good I don't attempt to tutor!
Please help! You lost me after the first row with bumps. How do I end that bump row and start next bump row?it's a beautiful pattern and I want to finish it right! Is there a written pattern for this that I can follow? Thanks.
@@vierakolozvary4756 she does beautiful work but I don't understand polish. My trouble is that after the first row with the bump I don't know how to end it and start the second row with the bump and so on.
Ok I looked into it and the only thing I can tell you it’s exactly as the row before You chain 1 yo and make Double crochet that it put you in the middle of chain and you can start the next row so you should have empty square below so starting new row you start with 2 dc bump 2 dc Hope that helps
@@vierakolozvary4756 I hope it lets you open this picture. I'm sorry to be a pain in the neck, but what do I do at this point to close the round and start the new round?
These videos are very confusing .. because you don’t finish any of the rounds on the video .. the baubles are beautiful but I can’t make them because the video isnt complete .. maybe I can find another video and make me some....
On top third chain the middle part you ending up row yarn over and you make double crochet So you get in middle of the empty square The whole thing is just repeat I will try to find some one other person doing it if you still have problems

May I ask on row 3 how many double crochet will be in the row? That row is not working out good for me.

I am not sure why it’s so confusing for you
With rows of plain double crochet you end with slip stitch on top the chain
On top third chain the middle part you ending up row yarn over and you make double crochet
So you get in middle of the empty square
The whole thing is just repeat
I will try to find some one other person doing it if you still have problems
