I just love the way you do your tutorials. I learn so much from you and you go at a pace I can follow. I'v seen several other video's and they show you how they do it, but they go so . fast and I get lost and have to keep rewinding over and over to catch up Please continue doing these tutorials because I know I can learn so much from you.I am a beginner and I just want to say'' THANK YOU" .CATHY
great tutorial, just want to say that when I tried to put texture on my flat wire. I used my dome-shaped chasing hammer. without pulling it sideways for flare, and it worked really good too. I never thought to try my other hammer similar to yours. I'll have to try that too. thanks for sharing your designs. have a great day too.
I love this bracelet. It is such a cool looking bracelet and it amazes me how someone thought it up, especially with aluminum. Here's an idea, maybe slide some small light colorful gemstones like a light blue swarovski slid on the 26 guage wire on top of bracelet. Or, maybe 2 to 4 mm crystals across the top would add a lot of BLING to the bracelet as well? I hope you like my idea. P.S. Doo you get all your metals from one place or most of them? I just heard you say something about putting some gemstones on the bracelet. Silly me, Cat
I can see I need to make more room for flat wire on my supply shelves. LOL Love this bracelet...gives me so many ideas. Thank you, Von, for another excellent tutorial. Off to Amazon I go.....
Your laugh is so melodical! I listen to you while making jewelry you are so funny...most of my supplies are in storage so I'm working with the bare minimum but art happens!
Thanks Yvonne. This is beautiful. Looks like a little work to get it right but worth the time and effort to get it to look good. Thanks for sharing. I love your videos.
Von, I really appreciate this design as it allows for SO many possibilities to take off on one's own and go nuts with pattern and design! You're so awesome! Much love to you for always putting materials/reference links in the comments section as well! xo
Hi, Von, I've been watching you for years and just joined the club this evening! I love using aluminum from time to time, but i often wonder how you could use it to secure the back of a stone in a pendant design...
I really want to get into this hobby! I build lots of coils for RDA vape mods...and this looks just like a staple staggered fused Clapton coil! I feel like my experience twisting coils...fused claptons, staggered fused Clapton, alien coils all using both round and ribbon wires would help out a lot
Love this. I actually have some left over blue colored flat wire that I didn't know what to do with and it is perfect for this. Cant wait to give it a shot. Will post pics later :)
Oh my gosh! You have opened up so many creative ideas. Perhaps some beads added to the 26ga wire, laying on top of the flat wire. Or, could the flat wire be colored with alcohol ink or wrapped with sari silk? Thank you Yvonne!
You have such beautiful, intricate designs. I enjoy your tutorials. Have you done a bracelet similar to this to see how beads along the side would look?
When you are doing the 5 wire wrap on the Bracelet before you go to do the crossover could I take like say very small beads that could slide over the wire then do the crossover to add more colors to the bracelet .
I'm wondering how this technique would look on a pendant? Perhaps a future video? I have some flat copper from Rio Grande. I think they call it bezel wire. Ohhhhh the possibilities.
Wow this was difficult 😮 tried it today and.... well I did a couple of inches of wireing and then I laughed and put it away 😂😂😂 I may try it again.... sometime 😉😉
I bought some of that aluminum flat wire and found it's too soft. This looks like a good way to use it. Some beads or crystals strung on the cross wires would look great!
Love the ease of this, nice repetitive pattern that should be simple to add our own personalized embellishments. Thanks 💚💙💜 I was wondering if you know how to do a double herringbone weave and/or a fishtail braid? Either one or possibly both as a tutorial video from you would definitely help me out immensely. I was passable at wire wrapping but just basic stone capturing until I found your channel. You show and explain everything so well and give great tips. My wraps have much improved and become way more elaborate. Yet I've tried to do those two weaves myself but can't seem to get them right. I can totally do them otherwise, like in round wire, hemp rope and even hair LOL, but flat wire just comes out lumpy and bumpy. I can't get it to stay "flat" or evenly spaced, Ugh!! I had a sterling silver bracelet and choker set in my teens that I absolutely loved but it was stolen by some degenerate friend of my sister. 😪😠 Anyhoo, I would love to recreate them but have been unsuccessful thus far. Could you help if you know them, thanks again for sharing all your fabulous talent with us 💝
My mom had bought a rose gold color of the flat wire. I'm bet this would be beautiful in that color, maybe use a different color for wrapping. Hmm looks like I'm going to mamas house lol
Would love to see anything you can make with flat material, also, any info on working with aluminum. Did I hear you mention that piece you just finished was aluminum? TFS💕
I am a sub newbie and I am never leaving. You have wonderful teaching skills, a lovely disposition, beautiful smile, you drew me in so easily with your soft soothing voice. I have never created jewelry before, but I think I am going to give it a go! Do you have supply kits for sale, or could you point me in the right direction to purchase supplies? Thanks for your reply😊
Very nice but with a clasp i think it will stay better. I have a question i bought that flat wire but didn't do any thing with it now i will try the bracelet. What about a earring?
Theoretically..... Could you beat only the one side of the flat wire and make i stretch and bend sideways? And then wrap asymmetrically, more wraps on the outside, and make a matching necklace-ring-thingy? :)
For "therapy," the copper wide surface area type bracelet must be overlapping with out touching, with a type of closure to hold its position as insulated, in a SPIRAL. The original health benefits came from science research a long time ago, which you probably never studied. 98% of users have it wrong. The vibrational energy in the air has frequencies, many from cosmic radiation. The cellular living tissue within the spiral gets absorbed energy at a low amplification. (Antenna) This works on people, animals and plants. I used this many years ago on my old dog with arthritis. Twice it worked.( Animals and plants don't have "BIAS"- Gee I think I feel better.) See - study the data published about the work of George Lakhovski and the booket "The Waves That Heal" Cancer eliminated in potted plants, and use of the electrically active type, or passive type copper spirals. So now you know.
How is that flat wire not breaking after hammering & bending? The flat 18 gauge aluminium wire we get in India keeps breaking when bent too much, esp if hammered 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You would do very well using solid silver, gold and platinum. I see allot of people using solid silver, but not allot using solid gold and platinum. There are those who will buy wraps of prescious gemstones and prescious metals.
Okay, so I bought the Parawire, I got 20 gauge and 26 gauge, my problem is that the 20 is so soft that it bends and deforms when trying to wrap the 26 around it. But when just trying to use the 20 by itself it bends but won't keep its shape. I can crochet and do macramé but for some reason I am not getting this. Do you have any tips?
Check the hardness of your wire, deadsoft bends heck-a easy and may need a bit of hardening before you can work with it. Re-watch the first six minutes of the video, Von gives some excellent examples for work hardening the wire and great alternative tips in case you don't have the wirework specific tools.
I bought Silver plated gold as well as copper core 20g. The copper core is the one that bends like crazy. It also will not hold shapes. My problem is the technique, I think. I was looking for suggestions on how to hold and get started. Also this is the same brand Vonn uses. I just bought some 100% copper 18g although I was saving that for something else, I guess I could try that....
I love the look of this bracelet and am trying so hard. I am 68 years old and very shaky but i am trying 😢
I was thinking how cute seed beads would be just as you started talking about the versatility of the design. Thank you for sharing.
I made one and everyone loved it. I don't do anything right. But watching you I did it right.
I just love the way you do your tutorials. I learn so much from you and you go at a pace I can follow. That flat aluminium wire is great for stamping on
Awesome! Very easy to follow
Your videos are always so well done. TU!

I like the idea of doing more flat wire tutorials. Thank you for sharing this one.
I can see I need to make more room for flat wire on my supply shelves. LOL Love this bracelet...gives me so many ideas. Thank you, Von, for another excellent tutorial. Off to Amazon I go.....
Pretty. Yep that’s how I test my wire on a sweater haha, thank you for the video.
Very nice im looking to begin....

Thanks Yvonne. This is beautiful. Looks like a little work to get it right but worth the time and effort to get it to look good. Thanks for sharing. I love your videos.
I had just purchased some of this flat wire for no reason than to experiment with. Thanks for the idea!
Never thought of combining flat with round wire....possibilities abound! Thanks!
I love love love all of your tutorials... keep on doing what you do . Love you talent , and personality. Much peace be to you .
Von, I really appreciate this design as it allows for SO many possibilities to take off on one's own and go nuts with pattern and design! You're so awesome! Much love to you for always putting materials/reference links in the comments section as well! xo
Thanks so! Great tut
That is the cutest bracelet !!! ❤️ ❤️ You snipped out of frame .😢
You rock baby! I love this a thousand times.

l have looked at this quite a few time but this time l watched it through and thought l can do that because you explained it so well thank you
Can’t believe I missed this tutorial. Love it, definitely going to do this. ubu❣️
Beautiful and simple. I'm really looking forward to your future flat wire tutorials. Thanks for sharing!
Love this. I actually have some left over blue colored flat wire that I didn't know what to do with and it is perfect for this. Cant wait to give it a shot. Will post pics later :)
Beautiful as always. I'm going to try it now.
You do such amazing work! Thank you for all the tutorials.
wow, thank you Danielle!

Girl you are so gifted, creativity at it best ! Stay Blessed! ♡
This was a great video, I like that I can add my own creativity to it. Also fairly easy to do. Don’t stop the videos I love ❤️ them!!!
Thanks, Karen!! I'd love to see what you make with this!
You have such beautiful, intricate designs. I enjoy your tutorials. Have you done a bracelet similar to this to see how beads along the side would look?
It's beautiful !!! I love it !! Thanks !
I love this, and I love watching you work, hugs sara

That would be a cool bracelet for a dragon eye,
great job nice piece
Wow this was difficult 😮 tried it today and.... well I did a couple of inches of wireing and then I laughed and put it away 😂😂😂

It is quite fiddly until you get a few and then it begins to tighten up a bit. 👍
I almost set it down too but Im determined to master this!!! 😜
I bought some of that aluminum flat wire and found it's too soft. This looks like a good way to use it. Some beads or crystals strung on the cross wires would look great!
I would love to try this with heavier gauge sterling flat wire & incorporate small natural stones!

I really like this. What kind of finishing off for men? Scrolls look rather feminine. Oh, and I enjoy your clear instructions.

Love all your video's. I am trying to set up my corner crafting area. Just as soon as we get another apartment. Lol

she used 18 gauge wire. also make sure it is copper core wire as it is stronger than aluminum. good luck! I'm definitely trying this out myself.

You need to wrap 20 gauge with 28 gauge. 18 with 26.
