Maris is my favorite ballplayer of all time. It's a shame he isn't in the Hall.

the first Yankee home run that I witnessed at a game was by Roger Maris,on July 1961, he hit against Frank Lary. Maris belongs in the Hall of Fame. Alert those hosers to put him in the Hall.

Yes indeed. Accept no imitations. Maris was the real deal.

I remember it exactly as he said. I had a Roger Maris mitt, gave it to my son. Maris hit his 61 hrs. in less at bats in 162 games, than Ruth hit his 60 in 154 games. That was the only stat that really mattered, but not to Frick the prick.

Believe it or not, Ford Frick is a member of the baseball HOF but Roger Maris is not! Tells you all you need to know about the politics behind HOF inductions. Roger Maris was a hero to a lot of people for his values, honesty and courage. Both Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams believed RM was a hall of famer, pretty good endorsement!

It's bullshit Rog isn't in the Hall. Sure he didn't have overall career stats, but it's not called the Hall of Stats. What other player who earned back to back MVP awards isn't in the Hall?
