Great videos as always! Was the video footage recorded with the main lens or with de ultrawide? I think you could mention that while recording the videos! Sometimes it´s hard to know, especially for p40 and mate 40 pro camera, because the ulta wide is not that much wider than the main camera.
I had a P40 pro and changed to Mate 40 pro and found that P40 pro is better. Selfie, low light much better in fact. Don't know how DXOMark gave better ratings to Mate
and what about color accuracy? p40 pro has issues to show real black (on the main sensor) when Mate 40 pro has no issue with it, also in the room photos with warm light p40 series has issues with "red skin"... this is critical to me therefore I've chosen Mate 40 pro.
The Mate 40 Pro ultra-wide camera sensor has been changed. Please compare it to the Huawei p40 pro ultra-wide camera. And you see it has ISO 51200 in night Filming ?
The Mate 40 Pro and P40 pro have the same main rear lens. Why does the mate 40 pro video look wider? Maybe less crop needed for stabilization because of better processor?

It is processing software and chip power which can make more in real time. And new UWA lens is way better than p40p it is 20Mpix unlike 10Mpix in p40p. Officially p40p had 40Mpix UWA but you will get just 10MPix out of it. In reality there is significant difference. And selfie lens? A dream with mate. Never seen anything like that.
Mate 40 pro makes better quality videos and better pictures too Becaus pictures on mate are realistic and colors are the same that you see with your naked eyes and p40 pro use cpu and add colors and grafic to change the photo

Its better being a flat color so its editable in lightroom , natural color wins since its easier to edit in in lightroom like saturatuon if it doesnt suit a persons taste , p40 is too saturated. This is my opinion since Natural colors are the best because they are also flexible to becoming more satursted like the p40

And I was using this phone through miui 9, miui 10, miui 11, and now I m using miui 12 and camera with each version was wors. From miui 11 I started using EU ROM and noticed that camera is better than when I first bought a phone. Now you go to psichiatrist chek your self and tell us what did he say.

I am a bit shocked, the night video is quite horrible. But the daytime Mate 40 Pro is a clear winner to my eyes :)

They're not screwing anything, you need to check your eyes, it's just the newer models are better.
