Ok but seeing the change from old horror films to the newer ones, I just got done watching the Bloody Valentine, compared to this? Horror really has changed a lot

this is so cool! What a great idea to put the songs and the according movies together! And it's so nicely cut, the pictures match the rhythm and the text so often, that's really really cool and surely a lot of work!
Although I gotta say that you really missed an opportunity at 1:01 by letting the knife drop before instead of with the downbeat :p
But then again you did very well at 1:16/1:23 (showing the dead mother during her lines in the song),
1:30-1:37 (her wearing her night gown at "saying good night" and then stepping into the shower where she's about to be killed at "saying good bye"),
1:51 (his steps somewhat match the beat, which ofc in and of itself is purely coincidental, but the clip matches this part of the song really well as there's not really much happening in the story and the song at this very point, but there's very much about to happen in both, so really good pick),
2:00 (him sitting down right at the downbeat ),
of course 2:08 (showing the shower scene at the "shower scene" callout in a song called 'shower scene' :D),
2:11 (him opening the curtains right on the downbeat and the line "you can't escape the shower scene"),
2:14 (dropping the knife exactly on time :D)
2:32 (very nice touch showing him escaping the crime scene shortly after the line "can't escape the shower scene")
3:03 (showing the water and blood going down during the line "going down the drain", which, now that I saw it together, is OBVIOUSLY a reference to not only water going down the drain but also blood, which makes it a reference to that very scene the whole song is named after - which is once again very cleverly written by Spencer - and now makes me wonder about water and blood being a motive not only in the song but also in the movie which, shame on me, I haven't seen yet - there's definetely a lot of great camera work and camera directing going on in the movie, from what I saw, even if the acting and the cuts when the stabby stabby happens are from today's perspective exepectedly bad, but that accounts for any movie of that kind older than like 20 years or so)
All in all, you really did a great job telling the movie's story from start to literal "end" by just showing the right clips at the right time and letting Spencer's fantastic lyric abilities do their work. This creates a very interesting combination of visuals and sound, telling the same story, but with different methods, and provides a much better understanding of the according song, especially if one haven't seen the according movie yet or, even worse, doesn't even know it yet.
I'm convinced that it must be super much work to collect the right scenes, sort them, pick only the ones that fit the most and then cut them to clips of just the right length that it's a) still legal and b) not dragging behind in the story relative to the song AND THEN even cutting them according to the music.. that's SO much work and I very much appreciate it! Thank you so much for doing this, I really enjoy your videos!
I just now, while typing the first of the two paragraphs above, realised that every single song on the two Silver Scream albums also doesn't "just" reference the according movie's plot by repeating it but very much summarizes and retells the whole story from start to finish by
    1) first describing the setting in the first verse which is usually told in the movie in the first 15-20 minutes
    2) then roughly lyrically describing the whole shtick of the movie in the chorus, where the shit first really starts to go down (both musically
    3) a) generally referencing certain elements of the movie like for example it's score (as very nicely done in this song and fckn hilariously done in Hip To Be Scared) or famous/important quotes ("we all float down here", "hey Danny, come play with us", "You're all doomed", "hey Paul!", "I have to return some video tapes", "not the fckn face you piece of trash", "Well I guess I'm a pretty sick guy", "that's bone!" etc) and
    b) using musical and sound cues (e.g. the twin girls' distorted voices in Enjoy Your Slay, the little girls singing right before the breakdown and the spoken opening lines in American Nightmare or here the mother talking and the shower running) as well as
    c) clever word plays and hints ("avant-garde" (nudging towards the cosmetics company Avant Skincare), "hip to be scared", "enjoy your slay", "don't hesitate to axe", "don't overlook the past", "assault and batteries included", "IT is the end", the first two lines of the chorus of The Jig Is Up (saw/saw) etc)
to provide a more detailed picture and deliver the movie's general vibe (which is usually deeply intertwined with the movie's shtick/aim when it comes to the horror genre) instead of using many words to describe the whole package of the movie's story, look, sound and feel
    4) ending it with a nice touch and a great musical finish
If you then consider how insanely well the lyrics are written, also from a poetic point of view, these two albums are real gems, just absolute fantastic - especially the second one, which has just such a high production standard, like really really top notch, and they didn't even had the status, influence and money of almost any other band with that standard, which is very likely much much larger than INK was at that time (or even than INK is now). What a masterpiece these albums are. Can't wait to hear the next big thing that Spencer creates with the band
Hope you liked the little music essay this comment turned into, I certainly do 😂

@@garrettthehuman7521 Honestly, I was one of them, I was born in 2000, so Psycho is 40 years older than I am, and I guess that always deterred me from watching (which I honestly don’t know why considering I loved The Three Stooges growing up). I went into the movie expecting it to be outdated, a movie only good for it’s time, but it definitely isn’t.

It was a seriously shocking movie for it's time. I can see how audiences back then could be disturbed. Even today, it's a pretty unsettling movie despite some of the more dated effects (which are still pretty decent in their own right, all things considered).
