How to set up and use your Dyson Humidifier

  • How to set up and use your new Dyson AM10 Hygienic Mist humidifier. Filling the tank, adjusting the airflow speed and humidity output, and setting the sleep timer.
    Step 1. Fill the tank to the top. Replace the cap and screw until hand tight.
    Step 2. Place the tank on top of the base. Important: Ensure the base is on a level surface.
    Step 3. Place the loop amplifier on top of the tank and push down until you hear a click.
    Step 4. Plug into the socket and base.
    Step 5. Switch ‘ON’. The water treatment procedure automatically starts.
    Step 6. Press and hold the power button to change the level on humidity.
    Step 7. To increase or decrease the airflow speed press the Airflow Control button.
    Step 8. To adjust the the level of humidity, press the the Humidity Control button.
    Step 9. To set the sleep timer, press and hold the timer button to select the desired time.
    Step 10. Press the water droplet with a cross through it to toggle between the humidifier and fan modes.
    Step 11. When animation sequence shows, the tank is empty.
    Step 12. Unplug the appliance and push the button to unlock and lift the loop amplifier away from tank.
    Step 13. Then lift the tank away from base using the handle.
    Step 14. Fill the tank to the top and replace the cap and screw until hand tight.
    Step 15. Place the tank on top of the base.
    Step 16. Place the loop amplifier on top of the tank and push down until you hear a click.

    Where does the rubber piece labeled 26A needs to be placed?

    In winter, when hot air furnace is turned on to regulate heat, using AM10 would try to reduce the temperature a bit when run in high settings right? How do you recommend using it in winter?

    is the fan always running even when the humidifier is set to auto?

      Yes but you can turn the humidifier part off and use as a fan but the fan will always be going

    Can you add a few drops of essential oil to the water?

      Please don’t add anything other than water into the water tank. This can affect the performance of the machine, and any damage caused won't be covered under your free Dyson warranty.

    Does the fan work with out the water tank filled ?

      Yes - you can use this machine in fan mode without water in the tank.

    How do I set 0 airflow? I don’t need fan mode at all but the default setting is from 1 to 10

      Dyson humidifiers need airflow passing the machine to project the hygienically humidified air into the room. It's not possible to run the machine without airflow set to at least level 1.

    does the am10 only show desired humidity and not the current one? and can you control it with Alexa or an app?

      Hello Dave! The AM10 does show only the desired humidity level and is not Wifi enabled. We hope this helps.

      @@dyson do you see it when the desired humidity is reached and he switches to the fan, or does the ring stay blue? or will he be white?

      Hi, Dave. The AM10 button will illuminate white when in fan mode.

      @@dyson funny. Dyson just wrote to me that the button stays blue when the desired humidity is reached and only the fan is running. when no more water evaporates. what is right now?

    The Dyson app won’t pick the signal
    Up when I try to add to the app. Why?

      The Internationalist, The Dyson AM10 Hygienic Mist humidifier doesn't have the capability to connect to the Dyson Link App.

    Your product support is horrible, you outsource customer service team who are not able to resolve any issue. Would never buy anything from you again.
