    "Can" Nigeria win the world cup? Nigeria has the ability, skills and the manpower to win anything. Unfortunately, the Nigerian players are not playing for Nigeria. Rather they're using the "Nigerian" platform to showcase themselves for their individual interests. While there is nothing wrong with that, still it is Nigeria that provides the platform and I hope someday Nigerians will be able to understand that.

    • @GreaterNationSports
      @GreaterNationSports  Рік тому +4

      If the Federation shows the players that it has no serious plans about achieving something significant by putting other interests above the success of the team and hiring an average coach then the players will express the same lackluster commitment to the success of the team. Gift Orban only has half a season of top flight football, but his achievements are ridiculously good (like Messi level). It remains to be seen if he keeps this up, but imagine a squad centered around Orban and Osimhen. My front four would be: Chukweuze (winger), Osimhen, Orban (winger), Boniface / Iheanacho. Fullbacks are also set with Sanusi, Bright Osayi, etc. Midfield (Iwobi must start, apart from that all in the air, especially with Ndidi's struggle for form), central defense and GK still an issue though.

      Fully agreed. Flexibility is the key! One reason why a good manager that can read the game is very crucial to success of the system. The system can still be effective if you have strong wingers that are able to support in both defense and in midfield as most formations in the modern day employ more players in the middle of the field. Also switching formations depending on the opponent also works

      @Maxx27 the NFF and coach are not selecting the best talents to prosecute the Job. For instance in the last international window when Gift Orban and Victor Boniface where doing so well in Europe. Why not pick them instead they pick out of form players still stuck on Ahmed Musa who has played 1 club game since 2022 Paul Onuachu who is out of form.. Players like yum yum FC players and leave out Tyronne Ebuehi who is playing like a man possessed after his injury concerns last season this season he is top 5 wing backs in Seria A now. Decisions like that. Eze should have been poached long time ago however the coachs are not even looking his way. The NFF is still arguing that NPFL a weak league should command 5 players in Super Eagles Main team when they cannot even Qualify Super Eagles B team to CHAN Afcon?. Strategically, I suggest having 80% of our players 6ft tall ..strikers , mid field and defenders.. again this was Westerhoff's model..go check the 1994 team😮. Whenever Nigeria wins in underage competition, other countries will attribute it to overage, even when MRI tests are conducted on all the players, and use that narrative as the reason Nigeria has not won the World Cup.
    In the U17 AFCON 2023, Nigeria fed the youngest players, according to CAF.
    In the U17 tournament in 2023, 95% of other African countries fed far older players than Nigeria, but nobody talked about it. Their HA8 is directed toward Nigeria.
    Those countries that are always on Nigeria's neck and can't still perform even in senior teams at all levels, where age is not needed, still blame Nigeria for using overage.
    Because of the kind of mind they have toward Nigeria. Some people suddenly don't believe in technology anymore. MRI test that FIFA said was 95% accurate, but because Nigeria is involved, they don't believe it anymore.
    Almost all Nigerian big players came through underage teams, and some people are still blaming Nigeria for not producing good players because of overage.
    If I may ask those with whom you all agreed that you were using the right age, how many good players have they produced?
    Because of ha8red and envy in the heart of a black man, a Nigerian lady has just set a cooking record in the Guinness Book of Records. All of a sudden, another African chef remembered he had a record to break but didn't remember it since an Indian woman had been holding it. SHÄMeu on Ev1L PE0PLE

    A lot of the foreign born options are worse than what Nigeria have now. Samuel Chukwueze is better than any winger you suggested. Also the list is very outdated given how good Abel Ogwuche and Benjamin Fredrick look in defence at U20 World Cup. Also any list now without Gift Orban and Victor Boniface is just not relevant.

      All valid points. A lot of our suggestion will continue to evolve as we head towards 2026. We'll loose some prospects, we'll discover new players both foreign and from the youth teams. You should check out the playmaker video.

    Yes it's possible if we didn't evolved Igbo coaches at'll from technical to the last crews in that team I am believe it's possible for nigeria to surprise many people, Igbo are the major enemy of nigeria and prospects of nigeria mostly in a major game like that, ones a rebel is always a rebel anybody can bet with me if involved Igbo in any area of coaches department and wait what the outcome will be even the player that is why the coach and the coaches department must be strong, that is my few thank u,

    Not a chance! Only a dream for now. At present a country like Morroco or Tunisia has what it takes to win 🏆 it. North Africans have the discipline and driving factor of becoming first Africa nation to win the world cup rather than the Western Africans due to indiscipline and corruption.
