At my school one time, I had permission from my principal and my local fire department to conduct one of their scheduled fire drills. People thought I pulled it on purpose! But then after they heard what really happened, I became a legend over something small.

They tried to put out the fire and when they failed they pulled the fire alarm and evacuated the building. The next “Fire” happened on a very snowy thursday not long ago Heres my POV again. I was in 2nd period watching NFL highlights. We had a sub thay day so it was kinda a free period. Then all of a sudden I hear the fire alarm go off. Now we just had a fire drill the week before so I knew this was real. We evacuated the building And waited for the fire department to do their thing. Now I thought “A heater probably caught on fire” Because how cold it was outside. Now the fire department are just sitting around doing nothing. There was like 15 cop cars and 2 fire engines at the scene. Now the police clear the scene and we went back in. Now this is one the craziest stories I will ever tell. A parent called the school saying “A bomb will go off in 5 minutes” The cops were called and They pulled the fire alarm. The police have launched a investigation on why then parent called Now they’re dramatic And kinda interesting Ive experienced 7 real fire drills 3 In Elementary 2 in middle and these 2 as of my 9th grade year. Now I will update this when there is more this year.

Actually seeing one activated during a drill was truly AWESOME!!! this makes me think so much of the Code Blue button in the hospital!!!! I've had it pressed on me before! In the event a patient goes into a Cardiopulmonary arrest, The nurse will lower the Head of the bed, after checking for a pulse! She will then press the CODE BLUE button, right before Beginning Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on the patient! The Code team, the CODE BLUE TEAM, is paged, and they leap into action, bringing a Crash Cart, or commonly referred to as the CODE cart to the patient's room! The CODE cart has a defibrillator, Oxygen, Suction equipment, a BACK BOARD, and several drawers with supplies that will most likely be necessary during a Cardiopulmonary Arrest! This equipment includes, but is not limited to, Drugs such as Epinephrine, Atropine, Vasopressin, Amiodarone, Magnesium Sulfate, and includes Intubation Supplies, I:E, supplies necessary to place an Endotracheal Breathing tube down a patient's throat, INTUBATION, the cart includes a Bag Valve device for manually ventilating a patient, and many other vital pieces of equipment! If a CODE BLUE alert is called, It's a LIFE OR DEATH, EMERGENCY! Patients usually do not survive Code blue situationa, however on occasion the patient does survive!
why is it that I am a kid and I know how to operate fire alarm panels by teaching myself through video games?? However grown adults don't know how to! All you have to do is click the drill command on the fire alarm panel, then reset it after the drill is done. It's not hard.
They were never in sync at my school. Different sections of the building had different delays, and some even did different tones. That on top of it being very loud made it quite disorienting.

Remote strobes are often saved for restrooms as horn strobes are required to alert students and faculty for a fire drill. Speaker strobes are also required, often for cafeterias, some classrooms, and auditoriums to name a few.
My old preschool had 2 EST Genisis, and one time some child lifted the cover, pulled it down and it didnt do anything despite the panel being programmed to its devices.

I would think that would be easier because you wouldn’t have to reset the station once you pull down the lever. Believe it or not, that is how most workers activate the fire alarms.
I think the alarms should flash at least 3-4 times before the siren goes off. It always makes me jump when they go off.

When we were about to go a fire alarm came on and I was panicking! But luckily it was just the party smoke,
The fire alarm was very loud.

That is illegal to do that to a safety device covering it with flags could confuse blind deaf or both
But their was like a million other ones wouldn’t they notice it

I bet the strobes should flash 3 times cause my school fire alarms are the same and they had problems last year
Hey, @S.E.R. Safety. It’s Tyler here. Have you ever thought about just opening and closing the pull station using the keys? I would think that would be easier because you wouldn’t have to reset the station once you pull down the lever. Believe it or not, that is how most workers activate the fire alarms.
it’s not as fun when you just open the pull alone
Also it lets you test the pull system itself I guess?
Those are truly loud as heck!
