Another great video RR. I had totally forgotten about MacMulkin in Nashua, NH. They are great. Several of my club members have been purchasing their Vettes for years from them. I think they're now ahead of Ciocca in Atlantic City, NJ as far as sales are concerned. Save the Wave. 🙋♂
The car is ugly, doesn't offer a manual trans and GM has priced itself out of the average Corvette buying market. I'll give GM another 3 to 6 months and the discounts will be $10k to $15k on the base C8, even more on loaded models. The hype is over and now a big market adjustment is about to take place, ($59k or less). Even at that price, with no manual trans and an ugly fat rear end, there are faithful Corvette buyers who will not buy another Corvette until GM produces what many buyers want. They have run out of buyers with fat wallets (except for Z06 and ZR1 buyers) and will now need to listen to us who desire a basic Corvette like those in the past, light weight and a manual trans that is more engaging to drive. The mid-engine design was the final improvement the Corvette needed but at $80k for a base model (w tax & Lic), it is not going to draw the buyers it needs now!
I dont know about that the C8 Corvette is a spectacular looking car from any angle. And manual transmission wise I do get that some people want it but straight up most people dont
I bought my Basic 1LT last week for $65,995. I Wish I would have known about the one mentioned here with more options for the same price...oh well.....
The C8 and its variations are an extraordinary engineering achievement. Dollar for dollar the best car ever made. But they suffer from a huge flaw that will limit their year over year desirability-the design. It’s the only Corvette ever called “Ugly” by major automotive press and analysts. Looks are subjective. But the design is objectively chaotic and chunky. So the fan boys and true auto nerds will appreciate it but folks who want a beautiful design will hold off.
C8 is a assembly line car, they did a lot of R&D on this model C8 and they need to sell them, they need a return on their investment, and they are not a car for the rich , you should be able to walk out of a showroom with a C8 2 LT for 70,000
All this scare hype makes me kinda sick. When GM was not making enough Corvettes and folks were paying $20k & more it was good for folks that had plenty of extra cash.Buy one drive it and sell for a profit.I got mine at MSRP and will be keeping the car.It was not a investment,I wanted a Corvette.I am glad there are more cars for folks that really want a Vette.Plus they don't have to pay over sticker.Cars depreciate, that is a fact of life.Glad the gougers are out of the way & now for the MSRP Z06 for folks that want em,LOL.
These are 1LT's and 2 LT's which are a little less desirable. Show me some 3LT's, ERay's or Z06's discounted that much and then I'll believe there's a crash going on...

Lol I feel sorry for whoever pays that. I see the C8 stingray in the 40k territory in two years.
