- In this video I hop onto my high
speed mobility scooter and take a ride through Lake Mineral Wells State Park. I tour the whole paved road system in this beautiful Texas State Park, see several deer and many wonderful views.
Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Texas is a favorite for hikers and rock climbers as the terrain is very “sharp” in places. The equestrian set loves this park for the very same reason that hikers do!
Lake Mineral Wells State Park is located on the north east side of the town of Mineral Wells Texas. This wonderful Texas State Parks was built by the CCC in the 1930s. Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Texas is a favorite for star-gazers as it is for the most part above the minimal light pollution for the small town.
Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Texas is only 2 miles from shopping, dinning and entertainment. There is also a small on-site camp store so you dont have to go far for your camping and fishing supplies!
If wildlife is your thing then you are going to lve camping at Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Texas! On this visit I loose count of the number of wild deer that I saw. The one thing that I will never forget seeing the mountain lion walking across the road!
Come along with me as I explore Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Texas!

Thanks for the ride that was fun. Going up the hill and sig-saging was like being on a amusement park ride.
I really hate when I have to do the switchbacks. It really is hard to watch that. but I am so glad you get some enjoyment out of it! Thank you so much for watching and subbing!!
Thanks for the tour of this state park. I visited this park a week ago. Loved this park very much. Watching your video made me want to visit there. Easily in my top 10 favorite state parks in Texas. I must go back.
Glad you enjoyed it! This on is in my top 10 as well! So glad my videos are helping you! thanks for watching!
Just visited this park today! Loved the scooter tour of the park!
Glad you enjoyed it! what could I do better?
Dude RV Keep being you! Love the overview you give of the park. Thanks for sharing your experience. That scooter is a cool way to get around.
@@MrSTravelQuest it is but I keep having to educate the park staff on the ADA and the fact that my scooter is and ADA compliant mobility scooter and I can in fact operate it in the park.
@@DudeRV I didn't think they would give you trouble on operating one in the park. Do you happen to know how many parks are ADA compliant? I've only seen a few trails that are.
@@MrSTravelQuest just about every other Texas State Park that I visit, I have the "electric scooters are not allowed, you cant operate that here" conversation with a someone who works at the park, either a young new ranger or a over zealous volunteer. The last serious conversation was at Lake Tawakoni SP where the very young park ranger did not really know what the ADA even was. the worst was Lake Whitney SP where a park host was actually banning people with powered wheel chairs at the gate, not even letting them into the park!
I would like to see more of what the camp sites are like. I like camping where the lake is at my site with an awesome view that you don't get at home. That is one of the main reasons I camp, that and relaxation.
Thank you so much for the feed back!!
I do my best to present the campsites in the experiential videos. My intent for the FPV tour is to provide you with a look at all of the paved roads in the park so that there are few driving surprises when you roll into the park with your RV.
The FPV videos can run long, like this one at 40 min,
it is your opinion that I should present campsite info here as well?
Hi Bob.
Late viewer to this one, but it's one of the camp grounds I'm going to soon.
I always like to watch your vlogs( sometimes more than once)before I go on a road trip so that I can kind of know what to expect.
that is exactly why I am doing what I am doing! It was very frustrating for me when planning a trip that there is just not enough usable info on our Texas State parks. I am so glad you are finding my work to be worthwhile! thanks for the support!
@@DudeRV I know what you mean.
You're actually doing the parks a great service.
And Google maps just don't cut it.
I know this is old but we (family) started a MW yearly camp out last March 2024. Anyway last march one day the wind was up and there was 50 billion minnows on that spillway. I wish I took a pic but the truck was covered in fish. We will be there March 2025
Hey, Bob, did you get to see Bush's funeral train? I watched it on t.v. it was very sad and neat at the same time. Merry Christmas to you.
I did not get to see the train in person, like you I watched it on TV. It was a well thought out service. I agree it was sad and very cool all at the same time.
Wish you would’ve slowed down so we could’ve seen the rv sites better.
Perhaps this will be more to your liking? ua-cam.com/video/wBeiTjcAjaE/v-deo.html
