Best character on Heartland! Mallory and the Caleb character were the heartbeat of the show. All of the characters are very important to the show, but I think Mallory brought much to the table, especially with the chemistry between she and Jack.

I loved the characters of Mallory and Jack and of Mallory and Ty. And I agree that although Mallory and Caleb were supporting casts, they brought something that was needed. They show would not have been as good without them.

Just a question, did Jessica mention why she is off Heartland ? I’m curious, wondering why they haven’t brought her and Jake back . My theory is since Graham isn’t on any longer , it’s been about Amber, Chris and Michelle. From all the comments and replies, there are more people very unhappy with Heartland. imo

This is my first visit to Rave-it Up, drawn to the interview with Jessica,I was especially glad to discover that she is an advocate for those victimized to recover from their sexual abuse. This is a passionate advocacy in my own heart. Empowerment can be further enabled when transparency is encouraged as we grow in conjunction to one another. I often wondered, if Mallory wasn’t there, would it have taken twice as long to get to a truth. She was always the character that was bold enough to say “the emperor has no clothes”.
I'm currently watching season 5 of Heartland. It's a great show and I particularly enjoy Jessica Amlee's portrayal of the "Mallory" character. She's very snarky and funny. I'm trying not to watch too many cast interviews that might include spoilers, but I couldn't resist watching a portion of this interview. I realize she eventually leaves the show and that's okay. It's interesting to see how Jessica has matured from an awkward teenager to a very pretty woman. Anyway, best of luck to her and her future endeavors.

I'm not upset about Graham leaving, I'm upset about the way they had him leave.
Not upset Graham (the person) left to live his life as he wants , but I am selfishly upset that Ty (the character, which only Graham can play) is gone.

Mallory as the character, serves as the "narrator," for the series in her role. With a line or a look she moved the plot and stories forward,the art of the "aside"in its various forms, written, theatrical(stage) her character gives "permission," to bridge the suspension of reality that is crucial for everyone on either side of the proscenium to enter into another world. There is always the one child in a family with a precocious nature that pipes up and asks questions or says things that others around them want to shut down, having been conditioned to behave with "sameness." The Mallory character isn't perfect, yet through her unfiltered blunders , and her self-actualizing "epiphanies," her personal victories do provide we mere humans to examine the triumphs we have in spite of ourselves as well. It would be great to see Jessica return for visits to Heartland!I grew up on a farm and ranch in USA just a bit south of the Heartland shooting area,drop-in relatives ( because friends are often adopted into families as well.) .just toss some more poataoes in the stew,throw down a sleeping bag or some quilts,you know the drill.
