Lando staying out was a mistake, but i think it also shows that he is confident in his own judgment and is able to make decisions based on what he thinks is correct, which is important if you want to become WDC

While Lando should have come in with hindsight, during the race, he was never told the rain would get worse and as it was when they asked him if he wanted to put, he would have been fine to hold off Hamilton. I see a lot of people saying that it was a Lando mistake but I can’t think of a single reason he would have pitted knowing what he knew, the team should have been more decisive like Mercedes

It was just a gamble and it didn’t payed off. Lando leading the race, Lewis behind, few laps to go and it starts to rain a bit.. It was a really tough decision to make, for the team as for Lando himself. Mercedes could make the call much easier, because they will finish P2 anyway.
The only sensible strategy for Lando was to pit as soon as Lewis pit to win, or pit after Lewis to get a podium. I can't think of any excuse for his mistake.

Have to say I like how Lewis always puts an emphasis on teamwork every single time he wins a GP. He has always been aware it's a team game. Probably the exact reason he got to win this one. Hard to imagine him yelling "Shut up!" to his team.

I am so happy to see nando doing what he does best. Almost took the alpine (5th best car at max) to the podium, made hard tyres last 35+ laps, passed leclerc and checo with slicks on a wet track, but just lost out by making the wrong call to stay out. P3 was guaranteed just on the merit of pure pace, skilful wet driving and tyre management.

@@trance9158 wouldn't be so sure, both of them have the pace, all they need is dominant car. Lewis is one of the best no doubt but he's also often overrated. Having the best car on the grid for so much time makes betting records easy.
