Thundermug were from London, Ontario located between Toronto and Detroit. I lived there as a teenager 1970-74 and my piano teacher was the aunt of the guitar player. Their second album Orbit is also a kicker. I wonder if that is the same Sorcery as the American band who put out the super obscure Sinister Soldiers?
Same name, different band according to Discogs. The Stuntrock mob were from LA, the Sinister Soldiers lot were from Chicago. I need to track down that other Thundermug album. Not easy round these parts.
Interesting stuff to try out again. I think the Detective album is in the 4 Euro boxes from my favourite record shop. I'll have to go there tomorrow to see if it's still there. I've already seen Thundermug there too. Let's go and hunt for records🏃🏻♂
Yep, so I just walked right into the trailer for Stunt Rock (located here: ua-cam.com/video/a0eFDJ8UztI/v-deo.html) and it was a terrifying automobile-oriented conflagration wherein at least 78 cars meet their demise in one 150 second trailer. It's a thing of madness, be warned. Glad to hear about Thundermug, which growing up in Canada I'd never heard before. Which is wild. Some bands, like Moxy, really were never played on radio despite the Canadian Content rules that required 30% overall content be from Canadian artists. Enjoyed the rock! Nicely done. I had not heard of most of these bands. I also, sadly, will never be able to properly suppress or un-see that Stunt Rock trailer. 🤔
I actually sat through the whole film last night. It's available on UA-cam in HD. Trash of the highest order, but very entertaining. I still think the soundtrack is killer!
Missed the first one, I'll watch that next.

I like the sound of your local record shop. Great LPs to find in a bargain bin!

love the Detective lp
Just had a look at the Stunt Rock trailer, 'Death Wish At 120 Decibels'! There's even a Roy Wood Wizzard.
