To give more details if someone if want to thrift in Paris : Most of the shop in Paris are vintage shop but there are a few thrift store. Rue de la verrière is a trendy street with 4 vintage shop : Kilo shop, Kilo Shop Kawai (more young and kinda Japanese inspired) and 2 FreepStar. In FreepStar there is bin where everything is 1€ and you can find amazing clothing if you have time. There is also racks and it's overall cheaper than Kilo Shop. Then there is the real thrift shop : Emmaus and Guerrisol, both have at least 10 shop in Paris. It's really cheap but not curated thus you need more time. There is also Come on Eileen, they have a normal thrift shop section but also racks with designers clothing for a good price !

I love the checkered coat, it was definitely a score! United colours of Benetton is an Italian brand, if you're interested. It's generally pretty good quality, especially vintage items, I have a couple of jumpers from the early 90s and they stood the test of time. It think they switched to that green label in the late 90s/ early 2000s.

There’s a trick you can do to figure out the meaning of a german word without looking it up. Try saying it out loud - english still shares a lot of words with german and you can often figure them out by comparing them to the english words they sound similar to (but not always 😅). It helps if you pretend it’s english being spoken with a german accent. For example: blut sounds like blood, schwester sounds similar to sister, madchen sounds like maiden (I think it actually means girl, but it’s been a while since I last studied german 😅), and so on.
