The M1 motorway connects London to Leeds, where it joins the A1(M) near Aberford, to connect to Newcastle. It was the first inter-urban motorway to be completed in the UK; the first motorway in the country was the Preston Bypass, which later became part of the M6. The motorway is 193 miles (311 km) long and was constructed in four phases. Most of the motorway was opened between 1959 and 1968. The southern end was extended in 1977 and the northern end was extended in 1999.
The first section of motorway was the Preston Bypass in Lancashire, now part of the M6 motorway, which opened in 1958. The M1 was Britain's first full-length motorway and opened in 1959. The early M1 had no speed limits, crash barriers, or lighting, and had soft shoulders rather than hard. As there was then little traffic, London musicians such as the Rolling Stones were known to speed up to take advantage of the Watford Gap Motorway Services Area, open 24 hours at a time when pubs closed at 11 p.m.

      elevate.io/
Totally free and online, bit like google docs for video. Simple to share projects, easy to use and super responsive. Gets regular feature updates.

Done the return journey here: ua-cam.com/video/-kcrdRybgbQ/v-deo.html
Be nice to be able to alter the speed of video inside the elevate editor, should come at some point. Used clideo.com/change-video-speed to adjust speed then uploaded to elevate for assembly.
