I love to learn from Jacob and so many of his older messages are great. The ones that I don’t like to listen to are those where he just sounds angry and frustrated which I’m sure he was, as the way people are so blind, and willfully blind must infuriate such a gifted teacher. I have been unable to share many of such and some that I have shared with don’t want me to send anymore for this reason which saddens me so!! They are missing out on an understanding that they not hear anywhere else.

A little change of topic here.. anyone here want to share any insight of what the Sign of Jonah refers to when Jesus addressed the crowd ? "A wicked and perverse generation will always seek a sign but the only sign that would be given is the Sign of Jonah". Did the Lord not foretell this about Himself? So then His death and resurrection is proof enough of who He is. The mighty Son of the Living God. Who agrees with me..
The wicked & perverse generation who seeks a sign pertains to unbelievers. There is an absence of God in their hearts & so they must receive proof in order to confirm that He is with them (outwardly) rather than Him being with them inwardly. God casted Jonah into the depths of the Earth as he was sin himself because of rebellion. Well, the Messiah also was casted to the depths of the Earth being that the people's sins was crossed over towards Him. The 3 days is much deeper than common study. Matthew 1 speaks of 42 generations being broken up into 3: 14 generations each. From Adam to Abraham, Abraham to King David, King David to Christ. Therefore in God's view.... from Adam to Christ was 3 days but for us it was 42 generations (thousands of years). With Christ dying those 3 days.... entering into the heart of the Earth. He spent those 3 days redeeming the elect from Adam until the final number which is why those from Abraham's bosom rose out of their graves once Christ resurrected & went to Jerusalem.
@@Creatio.Ex-Nihilo1 Ok thanks. I get that Jonah's sin was a heart matter which led him to run away from obeying God to go preach and plead repentance with a sinning nation like Ninevah. But I dont see that Ninevah had nothing to repent of to begin with; which is also another valid truth that may be drawn from that. Just felt like confirming others' view on that since this generation can hardly endure even hearing that word anymore.. On the matter of where Jesus spent the 3 days when buried in the tomb, yes I understand that He went to get the grave jail keys off satan's kingdom, demons trembled as He won, and so just like that He resurrected them too from their sleep as He rose back to life again, appearing back on the land for some days before being taken back up into His Kingdom of Heaven above. (I certainly dont agree with any teaching He is a failure who went to hell and got tortured there. Am aware some people's over active imagination on that can do with some repentance too.. may the Lord convict of that error and they adjust their views to be soundly aligned with the holy bible, the 1 holy scripture source).
James has said the sign of Jonah was he was in the belly of the whale (great fish) 3 days as was Jesus in the belly of the earth 3 days before resurrection. Jesus set the Old Testament faithful captives free who had been waiting for redemption in Abraham’s bosom. Jonah’s preaching set Niniva free after repenting.
I agree I dont read The Message either. Why read some paraphrases when one's born again spirit is leaning in to hear what God is saying through the bible?

@trulyso734 - I wouldn't say jail keys exactly but... I would say not all the saints rose.

Jacob sounds so unloving in his criticism. He may b right about their wrongs but his way of delivery doesn’t sound right.
