Look Jeff isn't a SONG WRITER ... he is an interpreter and technician ... that is his art and his gift. Some people blow Jeff off because he doesn't write songs in any great POP context - that's besides the point. Jeff is an ARTIST ... you appreciate the ART that he creates with sound and that's that. Jeff is a GUITARIST ... that's what he does.

It's said that Pete Townsend told Jeff Beck that this new guy Hendrix was coping, emulating his riffs & style, Afterwards, Anytime Beck would play & if he saw Hendrix in the crowd he would turn his back & play backwards!
