I think it's biggest feature is it's disruptive effect. The macro elements really help to break up the human shape. Great job as usual!
French CCE was pretty darn effective, it did a lot better than I thought it would. It greatly outperformed US M81 woodland which black blobed at a short distance. It's kind of ironic considering that CCE has darker colors.

Some of you have asked what patterns are next for videos. The following patterns I have either a full uniform for and I'm ready to film, or I’m just waiting on something to come in. Either way these are all in the on deck circle to be filmed: Danish M84, Russian WWII Ameba, German WWII M44 Dot, Russian Digital Flora.
I was surprised, I thought CCE's lack of brighter colours and similarity to m81 might make it blob up or even lose most effectiveness at closer ranges but it appears to actually function quite well, I think the browns definitely do a lot of good legwork. I'd love to see how it performs in colder months.
Superb work and thank you for your videos it shows the French camouflage. There are two versions, a woodland and desert. Regarding the cutting of new uniforms, we're past the T4 model S2, very convenient in terms of comfort and practical advantages in terms of cargo pockets in the pants. the jacket is very convenient for the port with a bulletproof vest. The desert camouflage version of T4 S2 is also staffing in the French army. But with the EC when it is faded, the colors go very well in a semi desert area, and when the holding after some time on the ground, with full dust is perfectly camouflage field (I had opportunity to test the camo CE Djibouti when I was in marine french). The Assault rifle that replaces the FAMAS and HK 416 (A version possible 5). thank you again for your great work and continue, is awesome!
CCE is one of my favourite patterns because the colour blocks are the correct scale to disrupt the human form and the correct contrast to do so at distance. Most patterns loose definition and blob into silhouette at much shorter ranges. All you need is to garnish it a little for close range blending effectiveness, the pattern will provide an excellent disruptive backdrop behind the finer grained textures. The light sand colour should help retain contrast when wet or dirty. The only thing I would suggest is that a scaled down variant would be better to disrupt the shape of small and detailed items like pouches and hats which sometimes by the cut of the material will get a dominant block of colour that does not disrupt it's shape.
Definitely exceeded my expectations. Though you,d stick out like a sore thumb with it being so dark but the colours really did help disfigure your body shape. Awesome video, you'll remain one of the best hiders on youtube!

CCE is fantastic. I little light in the color for out pine forests here in sweden but it still wolks just fine. You chould try out the czech vz 95. Its a great camo in any darker forest. I loses my buds in a sec if i dont know exactly where to look.
I also watch these videos as a very enjoyable game. Great video, excellent camo, almost an all-terrain pattern, although it may work better in the fading colors of autumn.
Working better than I was expected , maybe a bit to dark a few times. It will be very interested to see an test with an new clean Vs dusty dirty faded uniform .
It doesn't help that Brent0331 is so huge that his profile sticks out of the foliage with thr obvious round human features. If he was an average French dude, he'd be 50% more stealthy. Meanwhile, the CCE pattern looks like it trades Green for more tan in the Woodland pattern. Probably because France and the Foreign Legion operate in Africa; its their Middle East.
Influenced by our woodland...but far superior. I think we make the mistakes of 1) making our patterns too small (likely so they look good close up and in formation) so that they muddy into basically a single color at typical engagement ranges and 2) we shy away from including lighter contrasting colors/shades--which help to keep the colors distinct and also mimic the play of light on vegetation.
I have this set In my collection. Surplus unissued CCE Textiles similar to Dickies in weave Cotton poly blend . No back pocket on trousers , sitting down you see why . Your demo makes use of terrain and available cover/concealment. Especially when you add the Gotcha blanks. Affordable & the MVP jacket& trousers work very well in the wet (spring 2020)
I wanted someone to test CCE, love the cideo and the pattern! I always liked the larger blotches and slightly different colorways of CCE when compared to Woodland. May pick up a set in the near future.
I will tell you that collecting full battle uniforms gets addicting ( just ask my wife!). I started with a Swiss Alpenflauge set two years ago and now I have over 50 different sets from various countries. My wife wants them gone!

Some footage of CCE in the fields: Stone desert in Mali, works very good, IMHO, with some dust on it: ua-cam.com/video/1HGMJwHuGPQ/v-deo.html , and the YT channel of the French Army with some footage from Europe's terrain, not so many videos though, it seems, but? Eg.: ua-cam.com/video/0KckV_hWaYE/v-deo.html .

I have been interested in camo for years, since I learned about Guy Cramer and his work. Would like to know what prices you pay for the clothing ? I purchased DeadDeer kryptek pants for $40 CDN and the other patterns pants would be $60 to over $100 for me. That is good reason I like your videos.
Timo Greenwold I go for the cheapest prices I can brother. Some of the website I frequent the most which tend to have good deals on surplus uniforms are: Sportsmanguide.com, Keepshooting.com, Hessianantique.com, & Majorsurplus.com.
Brent what was your opinion of the uniform design? I imagine European designs differ a lot from American ones. Maybe you could consider talking a little on the features of the uniforms. Just a suggestion.
***** I'm working on getting some Splinter Mack, The tan and water pattern is a little pricey from what I've seen. On another note bud I saw this video the other day and thought of you: ua-cam.com/video/HxFgSmR0i3A/v-deo.html
I'm sure you get asked constantly.. Where do you find these patterns, especially sizes that actually fit us Americans? I'm ok with decent reproductions for my collection. Just seeking some guidance/input. Thank you!
Try keeeshooting.com They have these in stock , mostly XL (120)in jacket , trousers In sizes up to waist 42. Poly cotton blend. Newer T4 limited sizes ripstop. Comfortable and durable (March2020)& affordable . Bon chance.
I was surprised how ineffective this pattern was, I managed to to spot you most of the time. Nowhere near as good as Marpat, Cadpat or Greenzone in my opinion.
CCE= Camouflage Central Europe. It fulfills that role, for sure. I still use British DPM, US Multicam, Russian SS Leto Partizan and Russian A-Tacs Gorka III. I've been making my mind up on getting some French CCE for a while. I'll do from a collectors purpose, for sure. The Russian stuff is simply better, sorry.
Sylvain Campeau I've seen pictures and footage of some soldiers in the Rhodesian bush war wear it in the Rhodesian pattern. And some Portuguese soldiers with it in lizard pattern in Angola. Yesterday I was watching a documentary about the French Indochina war and think it was issued to the french in very limited amounts then, but more prominently in Algeria. I've never done it in a hot country, but wearing a helmet in 18 degrees celcius weather is too hot for me haha. That's why these were issued in tropical environments.
jamiemcf1 right, i meant in the present, in afghanistan, mali, even kosovo and on french soil. It isn't used. It's either the boonie hat or helmet, and if they wear a cap, it's a regular ball cap. But i'm sure in the past it has been used.
Sylvain Campeau Oh okay, maybe just a training drill cap type thing. In the British army they wear either the beret, the helmet or the bush hat in tropical climates, but I've seen a cap similar to the German m43's but with a soft visor being used during training before they earn the beret.
jamiemcf1 oh yeah i forgot about the bérets. :) Also, for celebration purposes they use the képi. (were you talking about the training drill cap for the british or the french ? because i am not aware of any french regiment that uses it)

More suitable to all Terrain than m81 imho
I’m too old to join the foreign legion but I think if I was 23 again wondering what to do after the Marines, I would’ve joined the legion. Hard dudes
'llo there. I'm a frenchie. Think this cam (on my county) is very bad. Don't understand why the "black" is on ? ! the sun is above. So it can not be had shadows on, but below. View Oak leaf Waffen SS of 2WW. This cam is the best ever made. Regardless, congratulations for you vidéos. eric from paris FRANCE
greencell french Thanks
Надо бы в 4K переснять, а то 720p маловато.
Nathaniel Hill Thanks bud, they do differ greatly.I appreciate the suggestion.
i would like this for Texas dove hunting
Good deer hunting camo
Did you hear the coqs yelling in the background ?
*The French are near.*
Wow, I see why it has so much tan in it now. Really breaks up the lines.
Can you do a vs cce woodland & us woodland???
Please reply ASAP.
I've done individual videos on both patterns, you can watch both and see them in the same environment and come up with your own conclusions.
@@Brent0331 that's just lazy bro
Haha! Pretty good cammo!
pls try camopat uniform by guy cramer
Even predator is like: wtf?
Can you test the french tiger stripe that they used in the recent Mali war?
The french tiger stripe is "green lizard" it s actually the camo of greece army , it s video are made !
Air Handler In Mali we use CCE and Daguet Camouflage. We dont use the Lizard one anymore, that was in Algeria .
Works pretty good but then again its based off the American m81 woodland.
French and their fashion industry. 😏
What's your next pattern going to be?
Irishknightable I'm looking at doing a couple WWII patterns. Soviet Amoeba and German M44 Dot pattern.
Thank you!
Sportsmansguide usually has a lot of surplus clothing at good prices.
Brent0331 Thanks Brother. Kill!!!
Try keeeshooting.com

(March2020)& affordable .
Bon chance.
In today's wars soldiers are moving fast
I was surprised how ineffective this pattern was, I managed to to spot you most of the time. Nowhere near as good as Marpat, Cadpat or Greenzone in my opinion.
😂
This camouflage is similar to Indian army woodland camo
CCE= Camouflage Central Europe. It fulfills that role, for sure. I still use British DPM, US Multicam, Russian SS Leto Partizan and Russian A-Tacs Gorka III. I've been making my mind up on getting some French CCE for a while. I'll do from a collectors purpose, for sure. The Russian stuff is simply better, sorry.
dude I can never spot you in any of the videos I have seen.... which do you think has been the worst camo you have used?
fulanitoflyer Oh I don't know. Its all about how you use the pattern your wearing. I'm not a big fan of UCP, never have been, never will be.
You're doing it all wrong. This camo pattern doesn't work without baguettes and wine
Funny how the French have chosen a cap style like those of Rhodesian and Portuguese forces in Africa in the 70s
jamiemcf1 I actually never see it used, in every video and everytime i come across soldiers it's either the helmet or the boonies hat.
(were you talking about the training drill cap for the british or the french ? because i am not aware of any french regiment that uses it)
Its not the camo that is good ur just pro at hiding
fcuk this wheres wally business i'm a nervous wreck
You managed to get by 4/16 times
