The whole soundtrack is work of art. First I didn't know what it was about, I had the idea that it was some kind of psychological thriller. Thanks to you I know the right title and the music really fits. It's tale-telling, tense and powerful, very... "psychic". Yamada's talent is similar to that of Kenji Kawai, they both are really good at casting an atmosphere. What Yamada does masterfully is wrap the feelings around you and stir the emotions. My favourite work from him so far is "One Week Friends". It is so heartwarming and full of tenderness. The whole soundtrack is truly the music of friendship. Not all his works convince me, at least all that I have access to (we in France have very limited access to Japanese composers) but what I really appreciate is how Yamada thrives to give each of his soundtracks a unique colour and melodic unity. You cannot misstake them. Thank you for this nice excerpt. The main theme of the soundtrack is excellent.
