If Rex gets the right coordinators and puts together a good coaching staff, it could definitely work.. he’s the type of coach that the players will play for
Rex knows defense and the Jets have some studs at DT LB CB, he'll 100% get that defense to being a top tier D, as long as he can bring in a good OC the Jets have some extremely good weapons. They'd just need to find a QB of the future. I don't think it'd be quite as good as harbaugh joining the Chargers but I believe he'd come in and get the Jets into the winning side of things in a hurry.

He coached in the same division as peak Tom Brady patriots and went to back to back afc championships. That is what I focus on rather than the record. Especially if you compare that to literally any other jets coaches in the modern era.
@bmb161824 who else has won in that franchise? I think considering the cards that were dealt there, he is probably one of the best jets coaches in my memory. That ownership combined with the media pressure of that market makes that a pretty tough job. Back to back afc championship appearances is something many franchises could only dream of, including the jets of today. Was Rex as good as some of the great coaches of his generation? No. But he definitely had a good run even if he inevitably failed to keep it up.
@ he literally did what John Gruden did with the Buccaneers. He was handed a good team and basically got a head start on coaching. His defense was really good. That’s all you can really say.
@bmb161824 oh so he road in on Mangini's coat tails? Haha that's a take. Honestly, Parcells is the only coach that i can remember that ever had that team viable in the playoffs other than the Ryan run.
