I do enjoy watching your channel and have learned many things... I had not heard putting herbs in the feed. I do add DE to the feed and nests and where the dust. I was able find some Silkies at Rural King farm store bought 6. I got 2 white 3 black one buff. This was May 29 21, now at 2 mo. of age 2 of the black ones have smooth feathers. They are beautiful to me, and sweet, hope they are hens we so can enjoy their eggs.
I forgot to add that to the video! I have mint and sage growing too. I hesitated on Rosemary because it doesnt survive our winters. But it is SO good for them! Much cheaper to grow our own too.
I use the apple cider vinegar too! Not the one with mother in it bc it's more expensive but have used acv for years. New to the silkies but I decided to try BBS pen after your video and I got paints and splash!!!! So excited!! Thanks for your videos and knowledge as you learn and take us along!! Best of luck hatching!
I cannot tell you how much your comment means to me that you tried and succeeded with your BBS flock! That is SO cool and exciting! I am so glad to meet another ACV user LOLOL!! Thank you!!
I absolutely love all your beautiful Silkies! I have 2 black bearded ones of my own now, but i don't know if they're male or female yet, of course i didn't know that's what i was buying at the time either, all the tag said was "Assorted Bantams" and i ended up with 3 different breeds out of 5 baby chicks i purchased. The other 2 breeds are 2 "Black Rose Combs," a rooster and hen, and 1 "Cochin" although i haven't figured out what kind of cochin yet or if it's male or female. They're all 13 weeks old and i just finished building them their own little coop and run away from my other 15 big girls i already had. Your videos have helped me sooo much just to get to this point with them, and i love to sit and watch them play in their run all day, it's so relaxing and well they're just beautiful to look at! So thank you for all the advice and information you share in your videos cause i feel like i would be lost without it! God bless you and all your beautiful feathery, furry babies
@@birchmoonfarm101 Yes! When iv'e had a hard day, i can just sit down in the run with them and watch them eat the little treats i give them and it helps relax me sooo much! They're just so sweet and lovable.
I also use ACV, and have done it for years. I rarely have to wash my eggs anymore. We’re coming up on apple season. Have you considered making your own? It’s super easy. Just need apples, water, and a little bit of sugar. Lots of YT videos on how to do it. Last for years and will save you money. 😉
Love your videos

Lucky you--we're burning up out west--surrounded by smoke and fires.
I wish we could send some out to you guys. Be safe!
Apple cider vinegar can get rid of mites and lice, it's good for people to. I treat myself to a watered-down shot when I'm doing Water for chickens 🐔
I have used it before but not enough I think. Thanks for reminding me!
Well there you are, miss seeing you on UA-cam.

Great tip! Thank you! I will look into it!
I think this is the first video of yours I’ve watched where it isn’t snowing! 😅
