More information on the flowbench build in this folder. Layout, cut sheet, excel file, etc.

Interesting. Very simple and efficient design.
    Which maf are you using?

Move the camera more slowly. Cool content though.

Hi mate great video thanks fir doing this. Just ine question any idea what model cars use thus flow meter. I can get a new one by they are about $500 so hoping I can pick up one second hand to experiment with.

I like that design. No complicated flow reversal valves to deal with. How are you converting voltage to CFM from the MAF? Awesome Video!

My follow up video explains it a bit. I found a data sheet with a transfer function online and ordered that maf. That converts volts to kg/ sec, and using 0.002377 slugs/ cu ft at standard temperature and pressure converts to CFM.

@@scottmgraves34 Thank's. I may blow you up with questions but that beats the heck out of pitot tubes or sharp edge orifices. I built my benches 25 years ago and they take up a lot of room just because of the blower box and the length of the air tube to get stable air across the pitot tubes. I really like your design. I think I'm going to attempt to build one like it. it wouldn't be to hard to write some code to do the calculations of the variables on the fly. Man I'm seriously impressed with it.

Awesome bench, thanks for making the plans and info so available to people, I already have a basic flowbench made from vacuums and U tube manometers, this will be my next version. In the spreadsheets on the google drive, are the transfer functions already correct for the MAFs listed? Part numbers:0 280 217 102 & 0 280 217 519?

Also where did you find the transfer function?

Get stuffed, this bloke is showing people how to make an excellent flow bench for free, and you gotta come in and give him crap.

I second that, this dude is an idiot, probably a jealous one. The author of the video sounds like a cool collected guy Idk what this idiot is ranting about. The society nowadays.... @@1616Rotor
