My frustration with this was CD felt good but not too crazy on the gods that weren’t abusing it but instead of needing the CDs of the problem gods (most of which have lower base CDs than Smite 1) they were going to nerf an entire class of items because some gods were using them too much
Later dowñ the line CC would always become a problem. The thing is that in smite 1, the game was balanced around a cap of 40% and so every god there has to be rebalanced to fit into a higher cap or they'll be extremely unfun. Do you wanna fight a 60% CDR kumba
Hopefully hybrid junglers stay a thing in smite 2 always being viable i miss those times so much from smite 2 where it wasnt the same vanilla ass slam max damage builds every game. Takes way more skill to counterbuild with a hybrid build and that way every fight isnt just a relic check.
@DarkChibiWeebie they did? I only recall news of them stating they're holding back on skin releases because they want to focus on gameplay first to craft a solid experience instead of trash.

@xodiac-gg7049 i do main supp, playing a lot of khepri, and it happens two or three times per game, so its a pretty serious issue. Stunned that they didn't fix it. Sometime I die bc of it.
i'm disappointed that they didn't change Aphro's kit. She is so boring to play as and against. They also managed to make her ult even safer. Now she can safely TP to her soul link partner when using her ult if she screws up on positioning. They somehow made her even more annoying to play against than Smite 1 Aphro.
They should just go ahead and make all heals and shields scale with Int they need to make people who wanna build healing the squishy so they may be punished for building like that if Ra heal scale, trust me, he wouldn’t be building tank.
Or go the League route of making healing/shield scaling specific items. That way you can keep the backline support play style while not doing a ton of damage and also still being relatively squishy.
@ yeah pretty much that’s what predecessor did they went the league route they be able to balance healing and shields so much better if they did, but they’re still reluctant to go to that. They just feel comfortable with tanks more cousin smart ones like they started with enchanted supports, but after Chang’e, who came out OP I will admit that’s why they Nerf and changed her so many times they just gave up and didn’t wanna even deal with it so they just made Chang’e into a generic mage.
I think that's a symptom rather than the cause personally. Base protective stats+HP are way too high across all characters imo. I think it's ok for obvious backline support characters like Yemoja to have incentive to build HP items, in fact most of the cool magical hybrid items have a good amount of it. I don't think she should have a ton of naturally scaling prots as well as being incentivised to buy items that have a ton of both prots+HP+CD. Part of this has to do with Highrez having to cater to the people who don't play Supp/play Supp badly and partly I think because their lack of separation of damage types per character.
Always appreciate the game update vids, do me a favor tho and lmk when they update console players to be able to play at higher fps/htz cuz bro 60fps against players who can play at 200+ FPS is a bigger deal then people think, oh and the matchmaking cuz that shi is horrible, lot I can say but I don’t wanna write a whole essay lmao thanks for the update vids tho ✌🏽
I dont normally comment, but helm of darkness change+shield splitter makes Odin literally unplayable. He doesn't seem crazy strong anyway but 2 protection items with int/str that both scale with Chaac and Ama who have huge amounts of healing and completely counter half his kit seems brutal.

btw did they ever state when they're adding more of the cross gen skins into smite 2 still waiting for my danza skins to be usable.
Idk, they said they want to prioritize gameplay first and it's clear they're doing that well because of them potting multiple gods nigh weekly.
Most likely after the free to play release since iirc they said they were going to start focusing on monetization then as well

I was thinking a similar thing but also factor in that the Asclepius item counters Odin's ult. 🤣 This poor man. He's not even particularly strong.
