Very interesting, I got into software development years ago. I’m always interested to hear how other people began. Especially women, who are greatly under represented in tech
Coding is for everyone, people should just get started, especially in Open Source :). Dont worry about making mistakes, I still make mistakes 15 years later and now I am starting to share it. Thanks Luba for sharing.
Hi Luba, first of all thank you very much for all the information. As I listened to your journey to become a Software Engineer, I realized that we had a similar story in terms of setting big goals and working hard to achieve them within a limited periodof time, then I also remembered my own journey to learn Chinese in Shanghai and reach my ultimate goal. Recently I have been interested in web development, so I have watched tons of videos and read so much about it and, I must say I was particularly inspired by your story, thank you very much for sharing. As you say, one should set goals and work hard!
Thanks for sharing! I'm third year into studying compE in college and still haven't figured out most things yet. This winter break I did a ton of thinking about my future in general, picking the areas I'm interested in, looking for an internship, etc. I also started watching your videos this break and they are so encouraging (and cute) hh
I loved your story Luba. Thanks for sharing and wish you the best for your amazing future. You encouraged me to stop wasting time and start working hard on my goals.
o My, I recently applied to the University of Waterloo for chemical engineering and the way the world is going it's all software and computer science and I kinda have a little interest in it. it is so nice to see someone that can mentor you even though it is through this youtube videos. Thank you
Luba, thanks for sharing your own story with us. I think it's quite inspiring especially for the people who don't study software engineering or computer science or other related majors. Your experiences may encourage them to proceed with their programming adventure and this can result in great accomplishments for them. Because software industry grows rapidly and needs new employees that can't be provided just by computer science and software engineering majors. There are countless related fields for other disciplines and your story proves it again. That's why I appreciate your challenge to go into programming and your attempts to encourage the others.
This is amazing..😍😍.. Thanks for sharing ur story...I am from a small town where it is in Tamil Nadu , India ....I too interested in development of softwares...this video encourage and give some ideas ... Thanks for sharing your story... Thank you... EXPECT MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS...
Thank you sooooo much for the videos u r making and for this one especially to-the-point, inspiring and authentic advices. Keep sharing what you have learned u have a great impact on us
Your story is really inspiring and have lots of similarities to mine I hope to finally find a job like you, by the way your video encouraged me not to give up thank you.
I just found your channel and subscribed. I study computer science at university and your videos are so helpful and motivating. Thank you all of the great advices 😊
Out of everything you said, I would put my life on it, learning C was the important part of becoming a software engineer. Computers is just managing memory. Data structures: data storage. Algorithms: data manipulation. Period!
Happy new year! thank you for the video...a very intresting journey, I am learning software engineering and this was very inspiring to me. actualy I have many goals for this year, I will not talk about them because I don't want to lose the passion to acheive my goals and I want my actions to talk about them... I know that the way to acomplish my goals I will strugle, so I want to enjoy this road to acomplish my goals...this is the advise for me ... Great channe, good job
i volunteered at a research lab and was introduced in matlab and was sooooo bored and hated it and i also assumed that computer science/ coding was that boring too so i was so closed minded to it. i was getting cold feet about my major and decided to look around cs/ coding concepts. i switched my major from healthcare to information systems and plan to go into a developer role hopefully. :)
The most important thing to use in programming is to acquire important libraries for the program industry We want to talk about libraries of programming languages and how to get them
The University of Phoenix offers a BA in Information Technology with a Concentration in Web Development. The only thing is that it is pretty expensive. Would it be enough to attend Team Treehouse or Coursera or similar platforms in order to study Webdesign/Web Development? I already learn Html and Css on my own. My goal is to be proficient in one thing, before moving to the next. I decided to focus on Html, Css, and JS until I am proficient. Javascript seems good for me as the first language, because it is used in both frontend and backend. I also want to study Web Design in order to get familiar with both Web Development and Web Design. I want to be good in Javascript, so that I can apply for positions such as Javascript Developer etc. The next three languages I consider learning are Java, Python, and PHP. I think that Java is good for creating Online Marktplaces similar to ebay or nuts.com while php is good for web applications. Is it possible to find good jobs just with html and css or withknowledge in Web design with experience in creating static websites using html/css? What knowledge do I need in order to just create templates?
hi would you please make a video on how you make sure of your work and life balance as a software developer who sits on a chair and thinks really hard about all those variables :D for a long time every day
