I agree, and I've come to understand that Christ completed the work on the cross in obedience to the Father as well...and, there are many in the western churches that are going through the motions and not taking their faith seriously, it breaks my heart...blessing to you.
Thank you, Mariah. I'm guilty of not loving myself, not viewing myself as Jesus views me. I'm off to church this morning I'm going to ask God help me in this area through Jesus Christ. Thank you again for this message. God bless and keep you..
Ive never understood loving myself until recently. I may have had talents and abilities, but I always thought if other people didnt see it there was something wrong with me. I didnt want to love myself because I was afraid it would lead to pride. It wasnt until earlier today I realized I need to recognize what I love about myself so others can love and recognize those things about me as well. Not out of pride, but out of a desire to let others see me and my strengths and I see their strength and talents as well. Then this video showed up and it confirmed it even more. Thankyou so much for this beautiful message! ✝️
Thanks for the video! I used to think that “self-love” was totally unbiblical/sinful, because I always associated it with pride/selfishness. I used to interpret the commands to “love yourself neighbor as yourself”, and “deny yourself and take up your cross” as meaning we’re not supposed to focus on our own individual self, otherwise we are being selfish. But lately I have been learning that there actually is a biblical understanding of how to love yourself that isn’t prideful or selfish. It’s just about recognizing that you are created and saved by God, which means you have value to God, He wants to have a personal relationship with you as an individual, and He wants you to grow spiritually. To “love your neighbor as yourself” actually implies that you should love yourself in a healthy way that is pleasing/honoring to God, and then that will extend to loving others in that same God-honoring way.
@@codyreitsma5918 yess!! Right!! I thought the same way until I got the revelation that there must be love for oneself to be able to truly love others in a way that’s godly and honoring to God! And to love ourselves also implies that we are receiving of His love! So glad you got this revelation too!! 🙌 love to you 🙌🤍
