As always, thank you so much for watching, and thank you to all of you that leave comments.
Thank you for watching!!
Should I publish the score?? If enough people ask I will put it together 🍄
Also my apologies for playing the main theme slightly wrong!! Forgive me 🤩
Amazing job ! I would buy it
Decades beyond my piano skills but I would buy it too😅
I would buy it 100%, and it would help to appreciate even more the thorough descriptions you put in the video. Fantastic job as always!
In my opinion yes, but be sure to include the original Nintendo theme.
I would love it if you did
The amount of insightful observations she makes is just insane. This woman's brain works on overdrive.
Oh thank you 😅😅😅
I think it's working normal for another level of thinking 😅 and only mine it's in overdrive trying to understand 😊
@kidbrown2010: I mean, I would expect people who play music to have opinions about how music sounds. I don't even know how I would start to be surprised by that, but I guess I'll try to learn how or learn morality or something. It's nice that she reveals said opinions, but that's more of a good presenting choice than an insanely hard-working brain. I would think that the playing itself would relate much more to that kind of thing if anything.

To be able to show us these styles. Nahre is a true blessing to any student of music. It is a gift to be included into such insight. I am not a musician but Nahre has informed and expanded my appreciation of classical music.
I love the annotations. They help me appreciate the music waaay above my level.
"Chords like spatulas"
Same here!
Yes!!! Me too!!! 😊
"pretend you have big hands"
@@DLLpropagandavideos 🙃
I love how your annotations sound like a music version of a sommelier describing a wine.
"Hints of frolicking with a jittery finish and a frustrated energy aftertaste"
And now I'm going to watch the suiting up clip from John Wick 2. Best sommelier in cinema history.
I think we need a part 2: Mario was hoping to hear how Chopin or Debussy would've interpreted this piece
Also: Tchaikovsky and Joplin. I feel like Joplin with his ragtime would be closest to the original.
Not as high brow but I'd love to hear a John Williams version.
DeBussy first before da Bach always....
Maybe even some Joplin ;)
Or Anton Webern 😂
The dramatic-triumphant Rachmaninoff ending is genius!
I always love your "in the style of" videos because literally no one does it better than you. you understand the composers and their styles better than others who do these kinds of videos. a lot of times when other people do "in the style of" videos they'll just mash up a famous piece with the theme instead of actually incorporating their style.
I agree with you.. except one other person. Dudley More. He really had a sense of composers style. For example Beethoven. Dudley was really the master. But he is long gone. - You should check him out if you haven't. You will probably like his take on Beethoven.
The Rachmaninoff immediately doubled my heart rate ❤❤❤
He was the first classical Composer I actively listened to. This mans 3rd PC singlehandedly converted me from Punk Rock Teen to music nerd 😂 Now I play the Cello and Piano additionally to my drums and guitar 😊
Aahh~ that final chord resolution is so beatiful. Loved every version, especially the Rachmaninoff!
Thank you so much!!
The key is to pretend you have big hands 😄
@@oliverholland7236That’s because if you don’t have big hands, you’ll be out of key! 😂
Outstanding! I think those six composers are looking down with smiles on their faces.
Thank you!!
@@NahreSol You are most welcome. Thank you for bringing a smile to my heart with your improvisations. Just as the composers inspired you, you are inspiring your listeners.
@@iampracticingpianomost likely looking up for more than one of these fellas
Except beethoven, poor bloke is wondering what the others are smiling at
More likely disgusted and disappointed with how the commodity form has resulted in a total degeneration of the arts.
This is probably the best example of the "one song in multiple styles" I've ever seen tbh, absolutely love the on-screen explanations for what your thought process was, and obviously masterful playing
You just gave me 4:05 minutes of light in these dark days. Thank you.
Your Gershwin arrangement is so good it could definitely stand on its own!
Thank you!!!
yeah my favorite as well
Right on
My thoughts exactly
100%
Loved the Bach and Gershwin...and the 'pretend to have big hands' made me laugh.
I play the piano. I know what it takes to 'get good' but this is magic and it warms my heart.
I like that these covers are more than just the composers' own pieces with a melody thrown on top; you actually put yourself out there as a composer and write something pretty much totally new that resembles the composers' style without copying something they've already written which is so impressive
Just gotta say, beyond how beautiful the performance and composition is, that I adore how this was recorded. The sound quality and mastering is wonderful. With my headphones on it sounds like I'm sitting inside the piano.
You're the most creative pianist I know!! I LOVE you!!! 😍 You're so smart!!
Thank you kindly…!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@NahreSol 🙂You're welcome. Thank YOU!
That is sososososos true❤❤❤❤ 👍 ✔️ 👍
Hearing these themes in the styles of different composers make it feel like the composers are alive again and I get to listen to music that I haven't listened to before. This is wonderful
Not only is the music masterfully arranged and performed but so are the wonderfully descriptive annotations. Bravo.
This is absolutely incredible and deserves many more views. The interpretations were amazing, but the text commentary seals the deal lmao. Not only funny, but actually helps people better appreciated the subtle and quickly moving emotions of many "classical" composers. Stellar work.
Your descriptions of what it is that you're doing are so incredibly helpful. I can hear the style and recognize that it sounds like a certain composer, but I can't put into words what it is. To see your notes describing in words the sounds I'm hearing have helped so much in my understanding and studying of classical composers! I love it. Please keep making more of these!!!!!
Thank you Nahre! Not your usual video style, but I loved it! I’m learning piano now as an adult, and always appreciate the effort you put into each video you make. It helps me to learn and improve my skills too! Thanks Nahre!
Thank you!!
Franz Liszt "why so difficult?" I DIED THERE
I really love that these videos always specify all the little bits of the conversational dynamics that inform the recognizable sound of each composer🙂
Bravo! The Rachmaninoff style was dead on! You really nailed it brilliantly! I was doing paper work and only listening and I immediately know it was Rachmaninoff.
Nahre….. oh my goodness- amazing. Smiling all the way through once you explored into Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Gerswhin. Series of Variations are my absolute favorite, and this hit the spot today!
Thank you so much!! 😄
@@NahreSol What beauty, good, and truth. I can only hope you know the God of the Universe.
Liszt section: "Why so difficult?"
For real lol. I love when you do these vids.
As a jazz pianist who has studied classical, I can tell you this is SPOT ON!!!!
🎉 definitely you're the "chameleon pianist." Never have I seen nor heard such delightful theme transformations performed with this level of comfort! Impressive! And impressed! 🎉
The particular mix of composers was delightful; not only classics, but some drastic contrasts. Yet with each composer each "variation" was well composed and well explained!
My 7-yr-old watched this with her mouth wide open. We are blown away!
I will never get tired of your renditions of various songs in the styles of various composers. They are always INSPIRED, joyously delicious to listen to, and a master class on descriptive language for music. Love love love it!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Your videos always makes my day better 🥰🥰
Thank you :))
Loving it. My humble piano skills are just enough to fully appreciate the virtuosity, dedication, sense of humor and deep insight. This made my day.
this was FASCINATING! thank you for posting this and breaking down each style as you were playing!
“Pretend that you have big hands” exactly
this requires sooo much understanding and creativity it's incredible!! Thankyou
You are an amazing pianist and your music makes the world a better place. Thank you!
Your understanding of the feel of the music and all the subtle things that juice the emotions out of music is just out of this world... Those comments really help explain it to viewers like us :)
I am usually a silent watcher of this channel, but this time around I need to write: Nahre, you really outdid yourself, specially in Rachmaninoff's variation :)
The Bach version made me feel like i was actually listening to a Bach Fugue for a moment!
Great video as always! Thank you!
it's clear you had so much fun while doing it, and it infected me cause I was smiling throughout the whole thing. I'm sure you know that but you are an amazing pianist, thank you for sharing that part of you on this channel.
just when you think something couldn't be done. incredible
I want to comment how amazing this is, but I’m at a loss for words that would do justice! You are amazing!
This is a great choice for variations, because the original theme has so many individual components that make it recognizable.
gorgeous Bravísima!!! LOVED IT!!!! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!!! More VGM please :)
Thank you!!! Any recommendations??
PART 2 PLSSS!!! @@NahreSol
@@NahreSol Bob-omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64, Still Alive from Portal. Anything the 8 Bit Big Band has covered, really. The latter might be to long to do variations on, but you could for example switch style for each section of the piece, maybe?
@@NahreSol earthbound...
@@NahreSol zelda? mario kart? mega man? final fantasy!!
Wow impressive. You managed to catch each composer's subtle styles perfectly
Very second of the video was a masterclass. Truly never been so interesting in a rather simple theme. Made all of these really come to life. Thank you for posting this.
This format is SOO COOL! You absolutely nail each composer's style, and the text on screen gives a insight into your approach for writing these arrangements. That alone is very enjoyable, but the fact that you don't talk makes this viable for relistening just for the variations. Which I most definetely will!
that is amazing! the Gershwin one is my favorite
God damn woman you are talented as hell. Absolutely fantastic.
😮 I've rarely seen such genius
Wonderful saturday morning concert . Thank you Nahre !👏🏽👏🏽
Beautiful playing as always ✨
Thank you!!
Blending my childhood nostalgia with my love for classical music ... You couldn't make me more happy ! Thank you Nahre
"Pretend you have big hands" Lol!! Love all the little notes as you played, super informative and funny! 😆❤
You got the sequence „B-A-Ab“ at the beginning wrong. It should be „B-Bb-A“. As a Nintendo music-affine person this kind of triggers me 😆
This is the greatest thing ive ever seen relating to mario and piano!! Amazing work Nahre!
I think the Beethoven one is my favorite. So many people are quick to just rewrite the theme in a minor key and dramatize it to the extreme, but I really appreciate the true depth you put behind it. It has so much Waldstein energy and the virtuosic prowess of his piano writing shines through. Thanks, Nahre!
That little triplet at 0:51 is just scrumptious
Very inspiring! Wonderful amounts of detail here - I'll be coming back for many repeat listens!
Particularly loved the Rachmaninoff one!! Awesome compositions and performance 😊
Not only is this the first piano channel I've subscribed to because I was so impressed and entertained, but also as someone who vaguely knows all those composers names but not really the styles, all of these made perfect sense to me!
To see such mastery... years spent at your craft, to deliver us this little wonder of something. Makes me emotional! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Worth of mentioning the composer: Koji Kondo.
BEETHOVEN!!! 😍
😁😁😁
That was incredible! Really really well done and so fun! Rachmaninoff's version took me completely by surprise with how much I loved it. The drama was unexpected but sounded so great! Again, phenomenal work here! Thank you!
"Why so difficult?" LOL, this one got me. It's what usually goes through my mind when I'm practicing a Liszt piece
That Rachmanioff reeling in section was amazing, i did the honorary stank face
It shows you had a lot of fun playing and stylizing it! 😂 Awesome work, bravo!!!
Thank you!!!
One of the best youtube channels ever. You"re a genius. Deep respect from Brazil.
This made my day. You could do ten more composers and id watch the whole thing. The annotations were delightful. And such technique and mastery. Beautiful!!❤
I want to love this, but it's hard to get past the fact that the original tune begins C G E A B B flat A, not C G E A B A A flat! Interesting that you gravitated back there with the Gershwin - which makes sense as it's a jazzy sort of passing note in the first place.
I was thinking the same. Doesn't prevent me from liking the vid though 😊
Noticed it too, so did a few others. Great ear.
Yeah, I absolutely loved this video, but every time she played A A♭ instead of B B♭, it was like someone was stepping on my toes
this bugged me too and I had to go listen to the original song to make sure I wasn’t crazy 😂
great video, though, you’re an amazingly talented pianist!
Can we try the reverse, standard classics in the style of computer games?
Yesss one of these days 😄
Lol that would be a funny idea to explore
This is brilliant. My mother was a classical pianist who enjoyed video game music and I wish I could show this to her; she would have loved it. The annotations are great for picking up *why* it sounds like the composers.
I was jamming to that Gershwin!!😎
Nooooooo........ Where is Ravel?
Otherwise
Very creative video
Yes I know 😂 he is one of my favorite composers too…
As a classically trained piano student, I appreciate all the annotations. My teacher was in her 80s and taught for over 60 years. She would always explain phrases, sections and composer style with descriptive words that made each peace have more personality. Thank you!
Brilliant! Superb video with good information. At this moment, I really enjoyed the Gershwin style❤
I get insomnia some nights with stupid simple melodies that resonated in my mind. I can’t imagine what this woman goes through with all the complexities that occur with this and many other melodies that cross her mind. To come up with this concept, to compose, practice, perform, record, re-record, edit, and be quirky was truly amazing (borderline insane). I can’t imagine how to show my appreciation for all the effort. Here’s a like (which I rarely do) and a subscription. Thank you for entertaining us with your genius-ness, (if that’s a word).
I loved the pure emotion on the Rachmaninoff version, really good version. They were all very well played, just amazing.
Unbelievable how you captured the feel of each composer. Bravo!
Coming from someone who has listened to some classical music at different points throughout my life, yet never really "got it"...this is the most incredible crash course on composers, their styles, and a general insight into the variations within classical music itself. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's one of those videos I'll save and occasionally come back to, and smile everytime I do! Thank you!
Wonderful. The Bach is fantastic! This video should be shown in every classroom
.
Love the Rachmaninoff one. Brilliant! You should really do a complete concert.
Really well done! The Mozart, the Rach and the Gershwin were impeccable.
Oh, man, I LOVED the Gershwin interpretation. That was awesome. As a major Rhapsody in Blue fan, I was appeased.
You were born for this, woman. BRAVO!
The Rach and Gershwin ones were so so good!
Man this is genius. Really fantastic job capturing each composer so precisely and even the spirit is there!
Thank you for bringing these two of my favourite worlds- classical and modern game music-together! Bounce!
You really can compose! This is so impressive and I instantly fell in love with the Rach composition
That was so awesome.
Thank you!
The way you always nail Rachmaninoff is unreal
Loved that.
I especially loved the pianistic chaos. Oh, and the bit where we ran out of adjectives so replaced words with an animation of Mario 🤣🤣
I love how much any of those would blend perfectly in a mario rpg or a paper mario
Genius. Well done. Gershwin was actually my fav for this one, which makes sense, as he was likely the inspiration for the original.
That was way more amazing than I ever could have expected. You are so talented!!!
I love Gershwin and Rach version😂😂✨✨ Amazing musicality nahre🎉
Wooo! I wanted to give a standing ovation. That was brilliant!
