I'm impressed -- a Detroit Lakes MN band with a horn section. They were ahead of their time, March 1966. By year's end they were under contract with Liberty Records.
I used to see the Ugliest at the Armory in Fergus Falls but my Favorite shows were the ones at Balmoral on Ottertail Lake , Winston Fink mixing up Groceries in a garbage can, then dump ing it over someone's head And crawlin around in the rafters and breaking out the lites while singing Albert Flasher!. I saw them so many times it was like listening to a well worn album that I knew every song to. To a great part of my life, You guys made it real for me and I'll never forget you!
SHOWBOAT BALLROOM Lake Benton, MN great memories! Put on such a great show.

Heard them play in Lisbon, ND. Fantastic music
One of the Uglies' best, for sure. Anybody else remember "Judy Angel" and the "The Log?" I went to school with the Two Daves, I'm proud to say!
I so agree...one of their best...but then I never heard a bad song from them.
