@garethgeorge580 weren't we lucky with the weather, couldn't have asked for better after being in the Greek islands for a week. Oh reality set in quite quickly after this trip tho ha! Thanks again for watching Gareth and messaging me, much appreciated. Ix
@tezzah...haha glad you're enjoying being back to the highlands & islands, thank you so much for messaging as always, so appreciate that I've got lovely subscribers. Oh gosh no pressure haha. Ix
@tezzah...oh man alive, the pressure is on now then ha. This is my first Christmas on UA-cam so I'll have to figure out what to do. I'll come up with something😜. Ix
Thanks Iona, been to Inverary several times stayed at the George Hotel and Loch Fyne hotel. Worked in construction for the company that built the Lochgilphead hospital. Been to Oban many times but never had good weather that you had. Looking forward to your next adventure❤
@alanlister8810 we got lucky with the weather for sure, think we took it back from the cruise with us. The George Hotel looked lovely, nice you got a wee look at it again there ha. Has anything changed would you say, from what you see, and was the Vital Spark boat there then? Cheers, glad you watched this. Thank you again as always for watching and messaging me. Ix
@@IonaMacinnes Nothings really changed much except the first time I visited the Vital Spark was out of the water on the road between Inverary and Lochgilphead. I stand corrected the menu prices have definitely changed for the worse x
@alanlister8810 haha aye, I bet you they have. Interesting, hope it never changes. These wee towns are so surprising with so much history around it; like in the jail that we didn't manage to go round...next time. Ix
@@IonaMacinnes Strange but true. Took the tour of the jail one year and the guide was a German gentleman wearing an authentic uniform. Slightly unsettling x
A fantastic long video Iona thanks to your friend Alina ? for requesting it. Arrochar is a nice wee place that I've been to a few times climbing Ben Arthur aka The Cobbler, it's the nobbly mountain you can just see the top of between two other mountains in your film. Inveraray is nice too, it's a pity you didn't see the castle which is beautiful, nice to see the Vital Spark which i think has been there for years. I've been to Oban a few times, even went just for a curry one time with three friends from Glasgow. I loved the Iona Shop and Marmaris Kebab House haha. The view from McCaig's tower is amazing Thanks again Iona for sharing, all the best, Davie. x
@daviemcf I'll have to go back and see the castle and the jail one day. Oban is a lovely place, it's just such a stretch of sea between us, and we know I like to eat but no curry is worth a 5 hour ferry, ha so I won't be copying you any time soon. Good craic for doing that. Ix
I really enjoyed your explorations on the way to Oban. Beautiful sites and beautiful weather. Your energy is so fun! Well done, especially after just coming off your cruise. Looking forward to watching you island hop. 🩷

@IonaMacinnes Oh, Skye planning...how fun! The things I missed, but found out about later are Neist Point, Coral Beach, and the dinosaur prints on Corran Beach, near Staffin. If passing through Mallaig, I've heard great things about Knoydart Pottery & Tea room with great loch views. While there, I did see Mealt Falls / Kilt Rock, Old Man of Storr, and the Quaring. All were breathtaking! It's nice just to discover the cafes and shops along the way....as you know. 😂

@Trond_travels No Way! How did you figure it was the same boat? Super impressed. Now I'll have to do research on all the boats as I'm on them.
