Your EITHER that way or you AREN'T...IF your not, you can't possibly keep that kinda energy going if it's JUST a character! Sure people can get INTO character, but there's people like Tracy Morgan, Robin Williams, Chris Farley and VERY few others that are just the way they are and people, myself included, find it VERY appealing when actors don't have to phone it in.... Considering how many PHONEY people in the world OVER act or pretend to be what there NOT, nor will EVER be, cuz they'll never have that genuine character....that spark only VERY few people have in ANY generation! He plays the bit so well you can’t tell if it’s a bit or not. Then he breaks character in the second half and his true self comes out and he’s just as charming.

Very well said and not to mention that there actually already ARE black versions(and stand-ins)of Superman from DC Comics. Even Marvel basically has their own black version of Superman.But most people in the general public who aren't familiar with the comics and who are more familiar with Super Hero movies and TV shows don't know that there already are black versions,equivalents and stand-ins of Superman.

But in all fairness to Tracy Morgan(and to a lot of people in the general public who don't read comic books and who just like watching Super Hero movies and television shows),I doubt that he even knows that there actually already are black versions,equivalents and stand-ins for Superman from DC Comics. There's Val-Zod(who Grant Morrison created and Morrison has openly stated that he based Val-Zod on former U.S. President Barack Obama),there's Calvin Ellis,there's Steel and there's Icon.
And even Marvel has basically got their own black equivalent of Superman,a character named Blue Marvel(who they should absolutely make a movie for). If people want a black Superman,then just make movies for all of those aforementioned characters(Steel had a movie in 1997 starring Shaquille O' Neal but as someone who grew up reading Steel comics,I always felt like they got the character wrong and that Shaq was miscast in the role).I'm an aspiring comic book writer and artist and I even have my own original character,who is a black Super Hero who is a Superman-like character(I'm basing his appearance on Denzel Washington when he was younger).
When people talk about wanting a black Superman in movies-even if they're joking,usually it's the people who don't read comics and who don't know that there already are characters like that in comics books that could be used as ample and apt material for movies.
Yeah i know that, a lot of people don't read comics, but it was a simple joke, i mean every thing i know about superheroes are from the movies, animated series, animated comics and narrated comics, and investigating myself about other characters or comics via wiki or information videos

Have you ever heard of Don Rickles? He was the funniest insult comedian on late night for probably 60 years. He recently passed away. The only comedian today that comes close to him is Katt Williams. “Poor little tink tink.”

He wins from Chapelle as a pure comic because he is way more funny. But Chappelle at this point is a black panter with a mic and I love that too, despite making less jokes.
