If you’re really excited for the Open championship this week and you feel like you need some cold water poured on your growing sense of anticipation and excitement, then you are going to love the first 10 minutes of this pod
Its my first time going to the Open this year, and im going to bed there on Saturday and Sunday! Travelling from the west of Ireland to it. Then playing in Edinburgh on Monday morning before flying back. I'm really looking forward to it
@@whenisasnakeatail4933 Even then you’d assume they would mention him at least once? Having to move press conference back to Wednesday to allow for celebrations…
Scotland is absolutely buzzing with Macintyre winning the Scottish Open - 2nd win of the summer - with an epic last putt victory, and not a single mention. Just a bit out of touch boys...
After watching Guy, Robbo, and Rick play Royal Troon, whoever has the best recovery game is going to win this weekend. The biggest takeaway was them hitting great shots that end up in hazards, and mis-hits end up perfectly in the fairway. Weather is makes it even crazier. Should be a fun weekend.
Suggestion for a topic….. Are there any golf clubs or putters in your opinion that would be worth collecting and could increase in value? Would the clubs have to be attached in some way to a tour player?
I have no clue who will win the Open. But we all know who won't (Rick). Still, love to see him get Bones to caddy for him and try to qualify next year. Give it a go!
I so hope you recognise Bob Maclntyre’s achievement at the Scottish, really love your content BUT it would be poor judgment not to give him the praise he deserves.
I like The Open because of the history, but for me it’s like St Andrews, a historical course, but objectively mediocre if you were to replicate that course anywhere else in the world. When I watch The Masters, I’m always in awe of the beauty of Augusta National. When I watch the US Open, I know it’s going to be the toughest tournament of the year. When I watch The Open, I know I’m going to see tall, wispy grass. 🤷 I’m sure I just riled up the wasps nest 😂
Hatton is a good pick imo. He’s showing good form right now. Played very well in the US Open, won Nashville, and missed the playoff in Valderama by a shot (a course that played very hard, requiring good course management and precision).
I think the Open has been overshadowed in this country a bit this year by Euro 2024. The same happened to Wimbledon and the Olympics which starts next week and has gone under the radar.
Rick and guy both. After watching the carnage this week also knowing this course is basically open ready every week how does it feel shooting 74 and not even finishing(😂😂😂)? 74 74 would have made the cut.
The nerves come from it being so expensive to play Never being able to practice Not being a golf member Playing at rude posh course You just don’t want to shank it
Listened to this on the audio, the sound of your hands clapping together. Without the visual to accompany it, made for childish humour, if you can imagine.
As an American I respect the love y’all have for the Open. The historic value is priceless. I just don’t share the same excitement because the courses seem mediocre at best compared to what we have over here. Places like Augusta, Pebble Beach, Valhalla, and many others are absolutely breathtaking. Nonetheless it’s still intriguing to watch the world’s best struggle with the brutal terrains and often awful weather.
The reason there's not as much hype is because last year's was so so bad. Brian Harman most dislikeable major winner in recent memory. Only semi-interesting storyline was Alex Fitzpatrick
How is it possible you talk about who you are excited to see at the Open, and you mention Adam Scott because he "almost" won the Scottish Open, without any mention of Robert Macintyre's name in the whole episode??
guy needs his own channel, he has great personality, is super interesting, and always has interesting things to say , guy stop working for rick mate and branch out yourself, I'm sure your be super successful on your own golf channel
Tired of the Rory bandwagon. I hope he wins but I'm bored of Rory dominating the build up and not delivering. Maybe give him a -10 start and then we can all move on after he wins. Time for a new story.

Really enjoyed the chat about Bob winning the Scottish Open.... oh wait!
I'm sure it would have been the same had Rors won it....oh, wait....
I'm from US , and the fact you guys don't even mention MacIntyre winning the Scottish Open is criminal .
Its criminal how Macintyre won
English vs Scottish mate we’re not that good of friends 😂
@@sebsoulsgamer I guess so .
Criminal??
Bones caddying for Rick is the golf equivalent of "but can he do it on a cold rainy night away to Stoke"
Guy and Rick always so disconnected from the rest of the world when it comes to golf every episode lol love to see it
Rick picking Rory to win with a BOUNCE BACK win is just the worst golf prediction ive heard after he shot 11 over and missed the cut!
Its my first time going to the Open this year, and im going to bed there on Saturday and Sunday!
Travelling from the west of Ireland to it. Then playing in Edinburgh on Monday morning before flying back.
I'm really looking forward to it
This will be the first Open I've watched, very excited!
Phil Mickelson has to wear joggers this week !!!! Lets go Grant !!!
Aaron Rai has been playing very well.
I love how much they discussed Bobs historic Scottish Open win and his potential chance to make it back to back wins….
another cry baby.
Can’t believe no mention of Bobby Mac winning his home Open and being first Scottish winner in over 20 years!
Any reason why not?
@@whenisasnakeatail4933 Even then you’d assume they would mention him at least once? Having to move press conference back to Wednesday to allow for celebrations…
Because he cheated on the 16th...? 😂👀
@@whenisasnakeatail4933 By standing on a sprinkler that he only felt because of his metal spikes? Super dodgy... 🤷🏻♂️
If the rules allow you to cheat, then cheat
Because it wasn't Rors
You guys got me rooting for Rose. Hopefully he can pull it off tomorrow.
I reckon Tony Finau can lift the cup this time. His piercing iron and wedge play should suit the Troon!
I get the feeling that they say "I'm not overly excited for this major" before every major recently?
Ricks pick, Rory 😂😂😂😂😂
I like the Hatton pick..he is playing well...
Scotland is absolutely buzzing with Macintyre winning the Scottish Open - 2nd win of the summer - with an epic last putt victory, and not a single mention. Just a bit out of touch boys...
Wow great prediction Rick 😂😂😂
Ricks dap game is unmatched.

That kind of summarizes why links style courses are my least favorite. It still will be very interesting to watch.
Morning from Arizona!
3 brilliant Majors so far this year. Will the Open deliver like the others have. Always hope for a put on the last to win rather than a runaway winner
Ricks hairline has a better chance of coming back than Rory winning another major
Rory doing great 😂
Suggestion for a topic…..
Are there any golf clubs or putters in your opinion that would be worth collecting and could increase in value? Would the clubs have to be attached in some way to a tour player?
Great video guys 🔥 and come on Tommy lad
Some incredible predictions lads….
Rory 5 ahead going into the final round 😂😂😂😂

If it’s blowing wind it’s fun otherwise US Open is better for me

Yes LIV golf is such a hard test of 54 holes
I would really love to se Ludvig on your channel!!
Rick doing Rory dirty again....opening round of 78 😅
You know what’s missing Guy and Rick? Me..that’s what’s missing 😂
Morning folks.
So exited to have a new video on Prestwick. How come they let you inside the clubhouse without a tie
The Masters is for sure the best major. The Open and US Open tied for next.
I think the Open has been overshadowed in this country a bit this year by Euro 2024. The same happened to Wimbledon and the Olympics which starts next week and has gone under the radar.

Tyrell😊
7:36 LMAO
You guys should comment on Colin Montgomerie saying Tiger should have no exemption. Tiger has not won since 2019'.
TW has an exemption until he is 60 yrs old as a past Open champ, how many Opens has Monty won?...crickets
Head pick: Morikawa. Heart pick: Fleetwood.
Not taking a caddy to the Open qualifying wasn’t a smart move Rick. Definitely get Bones or someone of that ilk to create good content
After 1 day, Rory is out of it 😂
Hi Rick, big fan. When are you gonna challenge Ernie Els to a -10 start?
Would love to see TOmmy win.
The Open messed up not having Sergio there, how are they still using OWGR
Morning rick

A spanking good podcast 😉😅

Courses are totally different. Royal Troon is an amazing course. It’s links golf.
Tiger always chooses early-late tee times, but with bad weather forecast for Thurs morning, he has changed to late-early....thats cheating
Bryson is tearing up majors, and yet they don't say shit . Sad
I'm guessing you two won't be making a living from betting on golf anytime soon😂

Its going to be Bryson.
Tyrell Hatton wins the open this weekend
Cant get excited for THE Open??????........REALLY
Äberg the victor this week
The Open is easily number 1
Glastonbury gets better Guy
guy needs his own channel, he has great personality, is super interesting, and always has interesting things to say , guy stop working for rick mate and branch out yourself, I'm sure your be super successful on your own golf channel
They're a good team and he probably gets access to far more people/places by working with Rick.
I actually don’t think I’d watch if he had his own videos tbh
Must be Guy's burner account
I almost threw up in my mouth
What the heck would he actually do? You would have never of heard about him without Rick, you’ll never hear of him again if he went on his own
The masters is terribly boring. Same year after year. The open is different. Weather is always different, it's pure class
The Open is by far the best of all the majors, especially when it’s at St Andrews , the 150th Open was something special.
Definitely! The first and the best! 👍
First three potential out of their mouths; UK golfers. Go figure…
I’m not bring the 666th like on this video…but ai like it.
I just hope a yank doesn't win ❤
Ernie Els dark horse pick for me.
This is a real hack podcast. Zero info. Should retire this

The tour has to have their golden boy without Tiger
why has Rick got that belly if he doesn't drink anymore?
Why tf is this podcast only 28 minutes long!?!? This is bullshiit!!!!
