I made 4 sets of 7 for the first time for myself, wife and adult daughter for lunch. This was for the first time ever. I only messed up one. I prefer them filled with jam, though we did try ham and cheese. They are silly and tasty.
I would have thought the same thing. Like you said we learn something new everyday. I bet those pan muffins were really good with that fresh maple syrup.
Great acquisition for your cast iron collection... Looked like some sweet, fluffy puffballs for sure. I'll take 6 of em' with two easy over eggs, and a grip of Bacoooonnnnn... Cheers

Well... those looked awesome and I still think it would serve better as a poached egg cooker ;) I've never seen pancake balls like that before, ...then I researched it Chris and it looks more like it's for "filled" pancakes. You put some some batter in, then you drop in some fruit or cinnamon or something, then top it off with more batter. Brilliant! I look forward to seeing the poached eggs as well. Thumbs up buddy!
Danish donuts! Put a little jam in the middle, super good too! Great find! Does it have a name or any markings on it? You can cook pretty much anything on one of those. Buscuits, Lil pizzas. I think you and your family will luv that pan.

Love these! I spent most of my life near Solvang, CA. They are very common in this Danish town. Typically served with powdered sugar and/or jam.

It will cook eggs; but they won't be poached. If memory serves me that pan is the precursor to the waffle iron.

Cheezehead Chris - I couldn't find any markings on it at all but it seems to be well made, and seasoned really good
