I love the fact that the Wonder Years evolve their lyrics as they grow up. A lot of pop punk bands keep trying to sing about high school when they're 25, but the wonder years talk about where they are at that point in their life. I love listening to their albums in order and just hearing the continuing story and seeing where I can relate
LAN Fan kinda
I listened to this when I should have been in college and this album had me feel so gosh dang happy
Damn this whole album hits harder for me now than it ever did.
The Wonder Years write the best closing tracks; This one, And Now I'm Nothing and I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral.....absolute class
And now No Closer to Heaven and The Ocean Grew Hands to Hold Me
And now You're The Reason I Don't Want The World To End
It's crazy that lots of those bands that featured their singers in this song aren't making records anymore... I think Title Fight is the only one still going strong today... It just shows that we're fortunate to still have the wonder years still making music right now.
if you start this video tonight at 11:56:28 PM, this year will just end and we’ll all be okay
Shane Henderson (Valencia), Dave Mackinder (Fireworks), Matty Arsenault (A Loss For Words), Jamie Rhoden (Title Fight), Nik Bruzzese (Man Overboard), Charlie Saxton and Nick O'Neill (Sink Or Swim)
title fight is one of my favorite bands and i just now heard this song. So cool Jamie's in this song.
which part does Jamie sing because I can't figure that shit out. A time tag would help lmfao
@@O7DOYLE7O id like this too :(
@@O7DOYLE7O i did a quick google search and he's at 3:03
Jack says he loves the winter here
Cause these are days when everyone's as miserable as him
Josh says it smells like cheap beer and loathing here
It could be the van, but it's probably just his breath
Max dropped out of college
But he likes to say he finished
He's working back home with his dad
He and Kevin got matching tattoo's of their initials
And three X's down their legs
Well I've got like-minded dudes in Detroit or Vancouver
Newport, Boca and Brum
I don't know where I am
But I know where I came from
So everyone moved in with their girlfriends
(In one-bedroom apartments)
In the town that we grew up in and
All my friends are in bar bands
I don't know how it happened
I hope it pays the rent
And still there's some days
When I don't think that we'll ever see Dave again
Justin's working three jobs just to stay ahead
Spiro lied about his major
But it's working out for him
Nick and Richie got a place together by the train station
I've spent twenty-two years just wading through bullshit and hey
It's worked so far
I don't know why I'm here
But I know who my friends are
So everyone moved in with their girlfriends
(In one-bedroom apartments)
In the town that we grew up in and
All my friends are in bar bands
I don't know how it happened
I hope it pays the rent
And still there's some days
When I don't think that we'll ever see Dave again
I'm not sad anymore
I'm just tired of this place
And if this year would just end
I think we'd all be okay
(We moved on again, We're not wasting away)
Matty Arsenault from A Loss For Words, Dave Mackinder from Fireworks, Shane Henderson from Valencia, Jamie Rhoden from Title Fight and Nik Bruzzese from Man Overboard
Can we just get an 'The Upsides' tour? I've loved the last couple of shows, and the neatest album is awesome, but jeeze like every track on here I'd flip to hear live.
They already did one 7 years ago.
their 10 year anniversary is coming up for this; hopefully they do a tour
I’m going to the 10 year show in Denver tonight. I would have waited 100 years if I had to
@@edwardpena2 I was at the Atlanta show of the tour, it was fantastic. The crowd went so crazy at one point they broke the sound system lol
They listened!! I saw them last week playing Upsides and Suburbia in full. Already one of my favorite concerts I've ever been to
This song is so clever and hilariously accurate. How are you guys not more popular.
The first line of this song really gets to me...
25 de Julio 2023 Saludos desde Texcoco México
"I DONT KNOW WHY IM HEAR BUT I KNOW WHO MY FRIENDS ARE! " -my life
This song relates so much.
*HERE
Yeah I here ya
@@freedomaintfree49yearsago28 LMFAO this made me laugh a good one 🤣
This song saved my life
one of the best & most epic closing tracks for an album
God I wish that year never ended. I’m not okay 😭
Still so meaningful and deep, the best.
'I'm not sad anymore, I'm just tired of this place' *I MISS THE OUTSIDE WORLD*
Thank you Hopeless Records for introducing me to so many amazing artists
would sound awesome with a horn section
You say that on every wonder years song lol
I'm 28 and this song is so goddadmn relevant.
Amazing
u are smoking hot just saying
Would be better with more "I'm Not Sad Anymore"
Love
i like how they recorded a bunch of people to sing the same lyrics at the end this song is great
3:03 - Is that Jamie Rhoden from Title Fight?
goes hard
let us take a second to recognize that there are 7 other vocalists from 6 other bands in this song
Jamie Rhoden at 3:02 absolutely kills it
not sad anymore just tired of this place
the title is a joke, its a skit from the chappelle show
I thought that this sound died in 2008. I've missed it so much.
still alive in 2017
Cameron Hodge still here four months later.
Still here in 2019
well dont forget When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong, one of the few non joke songs on Get Stoked On It
This band >>>> Almost any pop punk band
im not sad anymooore
