Cody is a awesome fighter. But hia last beat performance was against Dominic cruz. Hes getting hurt alot. Im no pro to say what he should do, but he has to change aomething or go cuz he keeps getting finished.
The problem here is that his ego is getting in the way, and because of that. He's taking damage which could of been avoided easily if he just didn't stand in the boxing range knowing that he needs to be smart and use his speed to his advantage. Just like he did in his title fight against Dominick, he wasn't fighting with his emotions. But being smart. Now he is exposed, on top of that he has taken too much damage to the point where if he realised sooner he would of still been able to have a career at the top. Now his chin is gone, and at this point not sure it will ever get back to that same resistance. Also I think the main reason why he is done, is because his understanding of danger is bad and after being KO by his nemesis in TJ he lost it mentally. And we all know fighting is about 90% mental the rest is skill set. And unfortunately he fights with his emotions too much now, and like I said isn't able to just correct that. It's something that is just stuck with him now. Shame because his potential was huge. And he only has himself to blame...
It was only that. Cody had a bad habit of leaving his hands down chin up in close range and every boxing and Kickboxing coach will say hands up chin down. It would've happened to him with any fighter
