Well, technically, only black powder guns that don't fire metallic cartridges are not considered firearms. For example: Colt 1873 or Winchester 1873 are black powder guns, but they are considered firearms. And you can not make a Gatling gun to be a percussion gun. I mean, maybe YOU can, if that's the case: shut up and take my money!😁

Matt, I want to point out that you could have used all real guns and it wouldn’t have been illegal. Each gun that would be going off in the series fires one bullet per gun per trigger pull, there is no single gun that would be firing more than one bullet per trigger pull. Totally legal! With that being said this was so epic and the black powder guns were no less enjoyable to watch than real guns for this video!

I think I also saw the ricochet from the second bullet heading towards the third plate the exact moment the second gun goes off (11:28 - 11:30).
The camera angle at 7:50 and overall shot is amazing. The way the bolt comes into frame is perfect.

Marcel Chagnon I honestly think a pirate would just steal more flintlock pistols than clean them, they are pirates after all. But I do love smokeless powder. Skipping a day or so after shooting doesn’t cause the firearms to rust like black powder does and you have to be more meticulous in cleaning.

Russman223 they’re ok. I own a 1851 navy revolver repop. The stupid thing, at least in NY, is that you can own one without a pistol permit but if you have all the components to make it go boom, that’s when you need a permit.
