There is a length requirement though. I tried it the night before I cut my hair and it worked. Next day after the cut it was too short, though it worked
That was my exact thought when my hair was long I always wished I had a hair tie when I went to eat.
True! Or when you baking or cooking, like for when your whisking something and your hair falls into your face or the bowl
I literally just tried it and I’m laying on the couch now. Sometimes my long hair gets annoying or if I switch positions it gets stuck behind my back or shoulders so it’s a pretty great idea for lounging!

Try strips of cloth damp hair wrapped around lengths of cloth and tie them at the top let it dry and thoes carrots are obsolete. Or rather never needed since that is how people curled hair back in the day.

As a professional launderer I would recommend retrying your drying hack with a cotton pillow case. Less bulk and the hot air will flow through better to dry your extensions... there was way too much bulk with the towel..
And use the rack for shoes so the extensions can lay flat.
Put them in a pillow case but hang the pillow case on the door on the inside before you close the door.
From very annoying experience I will add on that it’s a good idea to use a pillowcase with zippers. 🙃

So, it made sense to me when you think about it like you're curling ribbon with scissors. You have to hold it at an angle as you pull down.

I’ve done the hair extension hair dryer back so many times. I usually put mine in like a mesh bag. Works fine 👍🏽

@@bcgoodchild My old dryer had a flat insert to dry sweaters, sneakers, etc flat. That would work too!
Or use the sweater rack/delicates rack in there. Also, most dryers have a manual option (timed dry) but they make it hard for the sake of energy efficiency.

You should start doing these tutorials 1st person view with a lace front so you can understand why it’s so hard for an “everyday person”.

When i try to curl my hair with a flat iron i get confused on what way ti turn it and all my hair falls out because in my confusion i loosen my grip 😅
SAME. i have naturally curly hair but i once straightened it and after a few days, wanted those aesthetic loose wave/curls and bruh... it took me TWO HOURS to understand and still the curls didn’t hold at all 😭 i don’t wanna go through that again haha

@@rayafrigginsunshine4059 I've heard that, but I think what always gets me is twisting it enough to get the curl. I never have to twist the scissors to make a curl with ribbon.
@@littlemissmel88 you just gotta twist it at least halfway around or more. And twisting away from your face helps so the curl isn't curling into your face

Instead of wrapping the extensions in a towel, maybe you could wrap them in a mesh bag? Like a reusable produce bag or the mesh laundry bag you'd use to wash and dry your delicates in.
I imagine the hair strands would be tangled around the mesh.
@@ARiddle1986 Perhaps a little, but if you wrapped them the same way Brad did in the towel it would still be immensely better than putting them loose in the dryer. They would also have more airflow and therefore dry better than with the towel, providing you didn't wrap it too many times.
i love watching brad try the styles out on the mannequin and redoing them until they're as good as possible bc i would just not have the patience for that
Set your dryer on "time dry" and then there's a button to add more time. you can go up to 1hr. 40min without it turning itself off because it's sensing dry clothes. Just a helpful hint :D
Watching that one I thought it would work better if you laud all the extensions out side by side, then put another towel on top and then wrapped it up. It's much harder for them to dry all bundled together

Using a medium laundry drying bag rolled around the extensions might work a lot better. The hair ties to keep them in place was a good idea!

Can someone tell me I’m not the only one who tries to curl my hair with a straightener and it just turns out straight!
Nope, I will spend forever trying to get a curl, and get like 2 that look perfect and can never recreate what I did.
I struggled at first and it was like that. I figured it out though the trick is to take a small portion and go slow enough that it heats into a curl but not too slow or it cools off while you are doing it. You may need to have another twist if your hair is stubborn. Also tbh some straighteners just suck at it.
Not once in my life has it worked for me.
Why I spend extra money on curling wands
Just use any number of heatless curls, if your hair is anything like mine, straight and flat and Sevres nothing, heat curls last 5 mins in mine but bantu knots or anything heatless tends to last 1 maybe 2 days curly

the carrot one doesn't seem like much of a hack to me, like if you wrap your hair around anything it will create curls. I mean this worked and there is curls but you can use so many other things

Because all the tutorials for using a flat iron to curl your hair have never literally been "just put your hair in and do a half turn" it's always like, weird. They're never explained well. But this is awesome.
I'm a 30 yr old woman and I STILL cannot curl my own hair with a flat iron. I was just trying the other day and was getting so mad because it just would not work. I get the whole 'turn it half way' moment, but in the mirror everything is backwards and it confuses my brain! 😭

It May not be your fault! Not every flat iron is suited to do that. Couldn't do it with mine, with my new one (Remington, 25 bucks) it works flawlessly!

For the hair extension hack, take the “root” of the extension and close it in the door of the dryer and then the hair doesn’t get messed up and it still dries

The no hair tie ponytail is almost impossible for me to do, even when I’m just sitting in my chair it’ll slowly fall out bc of gravity, ik that most girls won’t use it for the gym though they generally use it just to get it off their necks in a jiffy when they’re studying or smt like that
