I use grease regularly, because I'm wearing cornrows, because I'm wearing wigs. I use a Leave in spray then I follow with my grease which is combination of, Doo Gro, Sulfur 8 and JBCO. And I love it. I have high porosity so literally any moisture in my hair gets sucked up instantly, so grease slows down that process so my hair maintains it moisture longer. I would suggest doing it in the morning cause this can get on everything, especially if you're heavy handed with product. Or I wrap with a scarf then a bonnet if I do it at night
Yassssss I'm a haitian woman my mother had the entire Dax line we have all the colors green, dark purple, yellow, hemp dax, dax conditioner. I love it 😀
i adore grease, i been using it for over a year and i’ve seen the change in the health of my hair, it was healthy before but now it’s softer and thicker and healthier and longer. grease is 🐐♥︎
Hi Novela, I’ve watched that video when you used grease on your daughters hair. Currently I have a 5months 3 weeks old girl and was wondering if I could use grease on her hair. She has coily and high density hair, the back of her head for example drys so quickly after I use liquid spray, cream and oil as my method of moisturising .
I have low porosity, thin strands. Grease is a game changer for me. I use on scalp (sulphur 8) after i spray with a little water and I use Blue Magic on the ends after I LOC. I can remoisture as needed between washes. Grease is not a forcefield and water will beable to penetrate!
Hope this isn't a silly question but will you be able to effectively moisturise in a weeks time after using grease? I'm definitely curious about trying this myself
Similar to alot of others in this community, my mom used grease on my hair when I was growing up. My hair was long and thick, then I got a perm in jr high school and the rest is history😔 Been natural for the past 7 yrs and my hair has been stuck at BSL for the past 2 years. Going to incorporate a clarifying shampoo and grease into my current regimen and see if that helps me get past BSL. Thank you so much for this content, queen👸🏾🤎
Aww you're welcome Frenchy! Thanks for sharing. I was also that natural that was stuck at BSL for YEARS, but now I'm at tailbone length 🙌🏾. Hopefully my other videos will help too 👑
Grease and Vaseline have a bad rap because of the ingredients. Petroleum jelly (petrolatum) is derived from toxic crude oil. And in the U.S., so much is allowed in the food and skin care products. The coloring used in them are also known carcinogens
I was feeling lazy one night and used Vaseline instead of grease....my hair was softer than ever! When I run out of grease, I'm going to straight up Vaseline (the one with cocoa butter)
Thanks for watching!

Nice, thanks for sharing! I only use a litte so I don't have that issue 👑
I have recently started using grease on my daughters hair(as a sealant) and I find that it’s helping her maintain moisture for longer ☺️
Aww yay amazing!! 🙌🏾
What shampoo do you use to wash it out

You'll not playing with Dax 😂😂👏🏾

Amazing!! Grease really is 🙌🏾
I've always used grease since my childhood. I'll use it my whole life 😄

What does moisturize hair feel like, get what I mean?? I never know, if I added enough product to really moisturize and seal each section of hair.
Is it best to clarify my little ones hair with a clarifying shampoo or can I use a apple cider vinegar rinse?
Clarifying shampoo if you want to remove build up 🙂
Hope this isn't a silly question but will you be able to effectively moisturise in a weeks time after using grease? I'm definitely curious about trying this myself
Not silly at all, you can if you moisturise weekly for example. However if you have build up, you may need to wash your hair first then moisturise.
Is doo gro is good for 10 months old baby girl hair
Please drop a skincare routine
Sure! I'll make a note of that :)
Hii 👋🏽 My daughter is 2 years old and she has fine strands hair can i use grease to seal her hair
Hey sis, grease tends to be heavy for those that have fine strands 👑

@@ncbynovella YAAAAAS I believe they will! Lookin forward to seein how much length I can retain for the rest of this year and beyond🥰
Hi novella
Can i use just water as a moisturizer before grease?
Hey sis, water alone isn't enough. You'll have to use a leave in/moisturiser for example before the grease.
you can try it and see if it works for you, there are people that do use just water and grease and it works for them
Hi. Can i use grease on my scalp?
I wouldn't recommend it 👑
What’s the best thing to use in scalp?
I was LCO method with grease buh I add oil on top of the grease.is it advisable?
I personally wouldn't as grease is a good enough sealant on its own 👑
@@ncbynovella thanks sis

It's highly refined. It's safe.
My daughter strands are really fine. I can only use lightweight products in her hair.
That makes sense, fine strands can't take heavy products. They tend to weigh the hair down 👑
Vaseline = grease?
Basically yes 👑
I was feeling lazy one night and used Vaseline instead of grease....my hair was softer than ever! When I run out of grease, I'm going to straight up Vaseline (the one with cocoa butter)
I have had grease since the days of time, it’s great , I use a little for my scalp and then as a sealant after leave in. Moisturize only weekly
It sure is sis! Most people who use grease don't have to remoisturise as often during the week. Thanks for sharing 👑
What shampoo do you have to use
