Well, I really hope you all enjoy this new video series! I'm happy to finally tackle Retro K-Pop Concepts again! Stay tuned for the 1960s-70s video next! What are some of your favorite K-Pop songs that are retro? I was not able to cover every K-Pop song out there that might qualify, so the ones featured are just examples. Please do me the huge favor of hitting those "like" and subscribe buttons for me, too! Thank you all!
I'm loving the idea of this series. Also don't know which decade this song would be considered in but moonlight by pixy has such a retro feeling to it either from the 70's or 80's I think hoping to have it included if possible
6:58 bit of history. Those three women in the archive footage were called the Kim Sisters and they were the first korean pop wave to make it in the usa, decades before groups like wonder girls, Blackpink and Aespa. While mostly forgotten, the act were regular guests on America TV shows like the Ed Sullivan show (who was bigger than Kimmel, Fallon, Corden combined), has a top 10 billboard hit AND a Las Vegas show series that outsold Frank Sunatra. They were the first hallyu wave, that has mostly been forgotten, even in korea.
Secret’s Shy Boy is always the first song to pop into my head when thinking about Retro concepts (also one of the very first Kpop songs I ever heard). I feel it’s very underrated
I really love that this series is back. I remember the videos from 2017 and this definitely goes more in-depth. I honestly think that this year, K-Pop really leaned into the 80’s Retro theme and I love it. I can’t wait for the other two videos in this series! Also, if there are any new fans of K-Pop here, Super Junior-T is actually a Trot subunit in Super Junior. Their other subunits are M (China focused), H (happy songs), KRY (ballad trio), and D&E (a crazy duo who actually have some Retro songs, which you may see in this series). And as always, another great video and I’m ready for more.
I love 20s-50s and trot influence in kpop, and thought I'd know all the songs you'd show in this video, but in fact this video introduced me to Shut Up 발고 Crazy Hot by ONEUS and now I'm obsessed
YES!!! OMG I LOVE THIS!! Jazz is one of my favorites music genres, si whenever it's incorporated in a kpop song I lose my mind!! We really need more songs and concepts with this type of music ✨✨✨
I’m ready for you to do “KPop Artists that Saved Their Companies (part 3)” or “KPop Artists that Deserve their First Win (Updated Again)”. Don’t worry, I’m waiting kindly
Omg I totally love retro sounds in kpop, its one of my favs! I cant wait for more of the series and ty for the recommendations I’m gonna have to make a playlist now
When it comes to retro concepts I always think about NeonPunch. Still sad they never got the popularity they deserved 💔 I love the 20's style, wish more songs would have that sound!
kpop retro concepts are some of my favorites, thank you so much for putting them together in a video like this and explaining different styles. I can't wait for more!

It just got forgotten nowadays, it was SUPER big back then, even for 1 or 2 years after.

I plan to do more of those eventually. If I don’t get to them in December, then it’ll be at the first of the year.
For all I know, 2PM and Wonder Girls saved JYP Entertainment, Astro saved Fantagio Entertainment, and B1A4 saved WM Entertainment, big time
Yes ladies code

I love, love, love hearing retro styled K-pop songs. That's what initially got me into Mamamoo. Their early music was pretty much all retro styled.
Seventeen does such a good job with retro music I really hope they’ll do more of it tbh!!
When it comes to retro concepts I always think about NeonPunch. Still sad they never got the popularity they deserved 💔
I love the 20's style, wish more songs would have that sound!

Thanks i really love jazz and swing .
There's been a lot of 70's-90's sounds floating around this year, so the next two videos will be interesting.
