My wife pointed this video out to me as she is always on the Cottingley Tracks forum. I am into drones, hence reason she mentioned your DJI video of the Flats as I am wanting to get the DJI Air 2. GREAT VIDEO mate. I have a couple of videos of the flats. One at night and was about 240 meters in the air using my Hubsan H501SS Advanced. Gave great footage, but with no gimble got a bit shaky high up in wind. Also got daylight footage of towers at a great height. Im a Cottingley lad myself and not far from the towers.
Thanks for watching. I totally recommend upgrading to a DJI drone. This was actually a test flight as It was the first time flewing. I'm planning to upload more content so watch the space.
What other drones do you have mate, and DJI are meant to be masters in restricting flying in certain areas with constant software upgrades. Due to this I steered away from DJI due Train station over the road and also Cottingley School, plus Elland Road Police station 0.7 mile away??? was thinking of the Evo Robotics drones, but DJI sit and hold better from videos I have seen. Seems your Mini held its own.. Any issues on take off after getting GPS?
@@waddac2 I only have the Mavic Mini at the moment as it's under 250 grams therefore I don't need a pilot licence from the FAA. As for restrictions you should not worry as there aren't too many. U can fly above train station and you can instantly self-unlock the restrictions through the DJI app (except airports). There are plenty of helpful tutorials on youtube wich I totally recommend watching before buying. I hope this helps.
@@dronelad445 Thanks for that Brother, much appreciated. I started off with the Hubsan Advanced, but wanted a folding drone so bought the MJX Bugs 4, then bought Zino... So have three.. lol!!!!! Selling the H501S advanced and also the bugs 4. Keeping Zino even though I have not really flown her too much, but as a back up incase have issues with DJI. 😂 Nice one, at least I know if I spend just short of a £1000 for Air 2 it will let me fly in Cottingley. Once this lock down is fully finished, it would be cool to meet up and fly our drones on the field near the tower... Hope its not raining though as that place gets logged with water where so called football bit is at bottom of grass hill. 😂😂😂
@@waddac2 If I would make an upgrade it would definitely be Mavic Air 2. We can definitely arrange for us to fly our drones together at some point, you could even have a feel of the Mavic before buying yours. I would be thrilled to have a drone buddy in my area.
