I never went to a Costco! We don’t have one close by. I love the lamp too. We travel an hour to Trader Joe’s. You should do more girls trips. So glad to hear Amber is a nurse. I saw when you were looking at schools but didn’t hear anything else. We definitely need more nurses.
EXTRA LONG COMMENT: Jennifer Costco clothing is very good quality. They last & wash nicely. We shop Costco once a month. They are 35 minutes from our home. Our Costco has Supper nice & helpful employees. Ours is very clean. We raise our own beef & pork. We don’t buy meat other than the rotisserie chickens at $5.00 you can’t beat the cost. So I buy 2 for a family of five(4 adults & one teenager) I get 5-6 meals & I make & can chicken broth out of both these chickens. No store sells a whole raw chicken for $5.00. (They are huge comparable to stewing hens) As far as the size of rice. Most American families eat rice at least 3 times a week. (We don’t) Also their produce is very good quality. It last much longer than Aldi . If you can find the time read up on the brands they sell are very good quality it is much cheaper there. Even though the products are supper sized you will spend less in the long run by NOT buying smaller size quantities. Check prices per ounce. That was fun to watch! If you are watching carbs still the next time you go do not get the chocolate covered coconut almonds, oh my goodness they are too delicious. For economy, get three or four rotisserie chickens, split them in half and then put them in Foodsaver bags to freeze. Saw another YT'er do it and it has been a game changer for quick meals. I bet your lamp is beautiful in your home.
The cashew clusters are the best!!!!!! Also, I buy the big bags of rice and put them in the freezer to kill bugs. I do that with flour also. I love Costco!
I love Costco! I have to drive about 175 miles to the closest Costco so I make it worth my while when I go and stock up. It's about a 5 or 6 hundred dollar trip, but it seems when you get it home, there's not a lot for the price. I love those lamps!
Quick tip. If a member gives you a Costco gift card, you can use the store without a membership. If you go over the amount, I believe you need to pay with cash. So if if you can get your daughter to buy a gift card for you, you can access Costco. Cards are sold at the register

What a fun day with your girls and grandkids! We go to Costco once a month…just the 2 of us and I spend about 300-400. I’m surprised you got everything in the car! It’s a tight fit when we are done. I do our monthly shopping at woodmans and Costco. Between the toilet paper and water bundles and then at least some other bundle ..lol we also take a cooler because we are about 45 min away….winter it’s fine but summer not so much! I bought the keto mix last time with nuts and it has those cheese balls in it 👎🏻 not a fan…glad the dog eats them..lol would love to hear what your eating for snacks on keto… I’m doing low carb….its so hard when your the only one and others are snacking, and I also love to bake! I have been realizing going once a month to Sam's Club and then the rest of the three weeks going to my regular store has saved a lot of money. I saved 200 dollars this month and I don't see the need to buy the cereal, oil, toilet paper, spices, and other pantry items that I buy more than once a month and it truly saved. I only payed 50 dollars at the store last week and 150 this week and normally I spend around 200 a week. I will be going next week and I don't go anywhere else and it's fun too. My son and I will be going together spending time together and we are looking forward to it every month. Great 1st time Costco shopping video!! Yall were adorable in the store! I love Costco and have one about 3 miles from my house!! Gas prices are excellent too. If you watch their sales books that come out about once a month you can really rack up the savings. Vitamins and such, paper items, you name it! Their furniture is great a great prices too! Just can't say enough good about Costco. Our employees here in Montgomery al are super nice and helpful. Wish yours were better. Great video!! ❤😂😊
I go to Costco every 4-6 weeks. I know what products we like and which ones are actually a good deal. I sale shop our regular stores and Aldi so I buy a limited selection of items. That being said, I still think it’s worth it. Love many of the clothing items, my girls love the bras, the Puma socks are great! I am eating low carb as well so there are some good products for that at a good price there too
I love Sam's Club they have more smacks and there prices are a little cheaper. The one good thing about going to them stores is that some things you buy you don't have to buy every month. I love getting my basmati rice and i store it in a couple airtight containers.
Fun girls shopping trip 😍. I don’t live close to a Costco so I don’t go there very often but I get excited when I get to shop there 😂. We love the KFI butter chicken sauce….I add a bit of cream just before serving to tone down the spice a tad and it’s delicious 😋

There is only 3 of us in my home... And my husband and son are like "mom we don't want to eat frosted flakes for 109 days..." lol 😆 🤣 😂
KFI sauce for butter chicken comes from here Canada. The best butter chicken sauce ever. Just use chicken thighs cut up and when they are cooked add the sauce and serve over rice, I even add some cashews on top. so good.

If you like the butter chicken, there is a recipe for one to make in the Instant Pot that I absolutely love. Search for twosleevers butter chicken. She says there is extra sauce (there is), so I just double the chicken and it's perfect!
That butter chicken sauce is DA BOMB just put chicken in an oven safe dish and pour sauce over chicken than cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour!!! If too spicy just have with tzatziki sauce and Naan bread!!!
So glad you got to shop at Costco with your girls! We go to Costco weekly. For the most part, the items are good values and the quality is excellent. Even when we travel, we will try to stop at a Costco. There’s always something different for each region so it’s nice to check out what other Costco’s have. Rosa
I'm sorry to say but as a french , I was watching this wide eyed. We're not used to huge cartons of food let alone the variety of snacks you guys have. And frankly I'm glad we don't have the equivalent of costco over here because I can see how this could affect the way people eat. Love your channel !
I am a big Costco fan. In fact the majority of my wardrobe comes from there. I have bought outfits for my great grandson there similar to what you purchased. Fortunately we have one close by so it is convenient for us. Their products are high quality and if you aren't satisfied returns are very easy. I buy my cleaning products there as well. Much cheaper than regular grocery stores. We are only two people so we usually spend between $100.00 and $200.00 per month, and then I don't spend much at the grocery store the rest of the month. Aside from the dried cranberries the only time I see fresh, or other cranberry products, is in November and December, which is true in other stores here in Utah. Have you ever been been to Trader Joe's ? Fun and unusual things to buy. BTW I watch you on my iPad and my husband will say that is Jennifer isn't it when he hears your voice. He has fond memories of Wisconsin from his college years at UW Madison. Not the cold winters though!
On your first trip to Costco (or Sam’s) it is pretty much the same…you buy more than you should. Then you realize that the large sizes of many things don’t always get used. Our trip was definitely like that. But as the years have gone by, I have learned to shop more sensible. Costco is a great place to get your paper products, canned goods, milk and eggs, detergents, frozen food, and even produce. And if you shop organic, their prices can’t be beat. I do like that lamp and may check out our Costco to see if we have it. Costco is also a great place to stop when traveling. We fill up our vehicle, use their restrooms which are almost always super clean and even grab a bite to eat. When we go through Wisconsin on our way to St. Paul, to visit our son and his family, our favorite Costco stop is in Sun Prairie.
I love Costco..but I have learned to buy what’s on my list..it’s easy to spend 350$…. But I have gotten better I like the big size ..so if I buy .. I may not need to buy for a while 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

We get our snacks from Costco! My kids also love the meat sticks for snacks there. Protein powder, peanut butter, tortillas, madras lentils, almond milk for smoothies, frozen chicken Patties , frozen chicken breakfast sausage links are just a few we love from there. I def don’t get everything there.

I forgot to add, I have Sams Club right at about 45 minutes from where I live (one way), and the Costco is about the same distance. BJ's is a little closer than that, but the traffic is worse getting there. Totally worth having the memberships. And best thing is, I am a Sams Club plus member and we get so many things shipped to us FED X for free. Shipping included. LOVE IT.

I looked in your description box for the info on my question and didn't see any reference to it... but in your video I'm not sure you specified how far you traveled in total to get from your home to the Costco? If you did, I missed it. So... how many miles/distance did you travel from point A to point B?? I want to know if it's worth the trip??? I would have to travel from northeaster Pennsylvania to some point in New Jersey... over 2 hours (plus). Also... I don't have a paid membership... so how would that work? Can you "pay to play" for a one time trip?? I'm scared to go... because I'm certain that I would probably WAY OVERSPEND... but then again... ?
It must be different in the USA, I’m in Canada. I went with a couple of different friends before getting my own card, I was able to purchase goods when I was a guest.
I go to Sams once or twice a month bc it's near my Doctor's office. I buy a years worth of various things (rice, sugar, spices, etc) and spread my purchases out over a year. They will cut up pork loins to your specifications and it's cheaper than their own precut packs. I buy rotisserie chickens to cut up and freeze the meat and make broth from the bones. I get the premium membership and use their credit card for 5% cash back there and to get gas and that more than pays for the membership. I pay my cards off weekly. I compare prices between sales elsewhere and Walmart & Sams and stock up on sale prices when it's cheaper. The only time I've spent that much on trips was in January & February 2020. My husband is a nurse and saw Covid coming so we went into a little debt to really stock up for what did end up happening. Especially considering inflation. I also bought a big freezer and generator that came in handy when we lost power for a week a few months later. My1 husband said I've made more money for us (bc of inflation) than any of his investments the last 4 years because of how I shop. I was very very poor growing up so I've always shopped carefully and stocked up when I could for bad times. We don't buy furniture there. We bought a couch & recliners and they broke within 6 months. I saw them drop a couch from the top shelf then put it back. I rarely buy clothes there because I'm plus size.

Yeah Costco employees are something else. An older cashier woman flipped out on me because I still had a snack wrapper in the cart as I was checking out, I have a toddler with me and I always throw those out after checking out. That women was probably having a bad day: another time, I always buy food separate from supplies, to pay in cash and to have separate receipts and this cashier guy gave me attitude at the register, telling me that the person I’m buying this for-needs to get a membership 🤨. I’m like “it’s for me, I like to separate food and non food to stick to my budget”. He kept pushing it and basically rolling his eyes. So annoying.
Yes! I used to be a die hard Costco fan. We've had a membership for 17 years, but when it expires this time, we're done. The last few years the employees have really got on a power trip and aren't friendly anymore. I've had some really weird experiences lately. After spending thousands and thousands of dollars there, I'm sick of being treated like a criminal. We're sticking with Sam's Club.

Be sure to refrigerate the bacon bits after opening. I had an entire bag go moldy because I forgot to refrigerate.

Cosco has amazing butter and great spray oil. Big rolls of plastic wrap, Sams has big rolls of Foil wrap.

I'm sorry to say but as a french , I was watching this wide eyed. We're not used to huge cartons of food let alone the variety of snacks you guys have. And frankly I'm glad we don't have the equivalent of costco over here because I can see how this could affect the way people eat. Love your channel !

I am a big Costco fan. In fact the majority of my wardrobe comes from there. I have bought outfits for my great grandson there similar to what you purchased. Fortunately we have one close by so it is convenient for us. Their products are high quality and if you aren't satisfied returns are very easy. I buy my cleaning products there as well. Much cheaper than regular grocery stores. We are only two people so we usually spend between $100.00 and $200.00 per month, and then I don't spend much at the grocery store the rest of the month. Aside from the dried cranberries the only time I see fresh, or other cranberry products, is in November and December, which is true in other stores here in Utah. Have you ever been been to Trader Joe's ? Fun and unusual things to buy. BTW I watch you on my iPad and my husband will say that is Jennifer isn't it when he hears your voice. He has fond memories of Wisconsin from his college years at UW Madison. Not the cold winters though!
On your first trip to Costco (or Sam’s) it is pretty much the same…you buy more than you should. Then you realize that the large sizes of many things don’t always get used. Our trip was definitely like that. But as the years have gone by, I have learned to shop more sensible. Costco is a great place to get your paper products, canned goods, milk and eggs, detergents, frozen food, and even produce. And if you shop organic, their prices can’t be beat. I do like that lamp and may check out our Costco to see if we have it. Costco is also a great place to stop when traveling. We fill up our vehicle, use their restrooms which are almost always super clean and even grab a bite to eat. When we go through Wisconsin on our way to St. Paul, to visit our son and his family, our favorite Costco stop is in Sun Prairie.
I love Costco..but I have learned to buy what’s on my list..it’s easy to spend 350$….
But I have gotten better

We get our snacks from Costco! My kids also love the meat sticks for snacks there. Protein powder, peanut butter, tortillas, madras lentils, almond milk for smoothies, frozen chicken Patties , frozen chicken breakfast sausage links are just a few we love from there. I def don’t get everything there.

I love costco I go every 2 weeks and get fruit in bulk, because I eat a lot of fruit. I also like getting rotisserie chickens.

OH woo hoo!!! So glad you went to Costco. My fave out of all the big stores is Sams Club, then Costco, then BJ's club. I have memberships to them all. Thank you for sharing your trip!!
I forgot to add, I have Sams Club right at about 45 minutes from where I live (one way), and the Costco is about the same distance. BJ's is a little closer than that, but the traffic is worse getting there. Totally worth having the memberships. And best thing is, I am a Sams Club plus member and we get so many things shipped to us FED X for free. Shipping included. LOVE IT.
Butter chicken is really good. Not too spicy. Just enough spiciness to add to the flavor. You should try it.

I love Whisps--they make great croutons on your salad!
And if you want some cheese in a bowl of soup just toss in a few chips. They soften super well and are easier than shredding cheese

I looked in your description box for the info on my question and didn't see any reference to it... but in your video I'm not sure you specified how far you traveled in total to get from your home to the Costco? If you did, I missed it. So... how many miles/distance did you travel from point A to point B?? I want to know if it's worth the trip??? I would have to travel from northeaster Pennsylvania to some point in New Jersey... over 2 hours (plus). Also... I don't have a paid membership... so how would that work? Can you "pay to play" for a one time trip?? I'm scared to go... because I'm certain that I would probably WAY OVERSPEND... but then again... ?
We have a Costco in Allentown...not sure if that would be closer to you for you to try.

I went with a couple of different friends before getting my own card, I was able to purchase goods when I was a guest.
It was like that in the USA too until recently and people started abusing the privilege so now if you want to purchase you need your own card.

I go to Sams once or twice a month bc it's near my Doctor's office. I buy a years worth of various things (rice, sugar, spices, etc) and spread my purchases out over a year. They will cut up pork loins to your specifications and it's cheaper than their own precut packs. I buy rotisserie chickens to cut up and freeze the meat and make broth from the bones. I get the premium membership and use their credit card for 5% cash back there and to get gas and that more than pays for the membership. I pay my cards off weekly. I compare prices between sales elsewhere and Walmart & Sams and stock up on sale prices when it's cheaper.
The only time I've spent that much on trips was in January & February 2020. My husband is a nurse and saw Covid coming so we went into a little debt to really stock up for what did end up happening. Especially considering inflation. I also bought a big freezer and generator that came in handy when we lost power for a week a few months later. My1 husband said I've made more money for us (bc of inflation) than any of his investments the last 4 years because of how I shop. I was very very poor growing up so I've always shopped carefully and stocked up when I could for bad times.
We don't buy furniture there. We bought a couch & recliners and they broke within 6 months. I saw them drop a couch from the top shelf then put it back. I rarely buy clothes there because I'm plus size.

Yeah Costco employees are something else. An older cashier woman flipped out on me because I still had a snack wrapper in the cart as I was checking out, I have a toddler with me and I always throw those out after checking out. That women was probably having a bad day: another time, I always buy food separate from supplies, to pay in cash and to have separate receipts and this cashier guy gave me attitude at the register, telling me that the person I’m buying this for-needs to get a membership 🤨. I’m like “it’s for me, I like to separate food and non food to stick to my budget”. He kept pushing it and basically rolling his eyes. So annoying.
Yes! I used to be a die hard Costco fan. We've had a membership for 17 years, but when it expires this time, we're done. The last few years the employees have really got on a power trip and aren't friendly anymore. I've had some really weird experiences lately. After spending thousands and thousands of dollars there, I'm sick of being treated like a criminal. We're sticking with Sam's Club.
