Great video for someone just starting off! Thank you! I also appreciate you as a contractor that is mindful of people’s privacy, thats a huge plus!
great video! thanks for taking the time and posting your experience.
Love that bro 0:58 from the beginning your a brilliant king love man. Jobs that are below your value you don’t give time. Time is all we have. Keep it up instantly motivated
Hey a fellow Michigander. I left back in 2009 and moved to Texas where I have an air conditioning company. I signed up with Home Depot just to see what is out there and to gain leads through the Handyman leads. Good luck in your business.
It's probably good when getting started to help smooth out the slow times but I wouldn't rely too much of my revenue on them. Too many things can change and mess up your bottom line. Probably better off contacting designers, cabinet companies, real estate agents, etc and letting them know what you do. Thanks for the insight!
Im a drywall finisher, carpenter, hanger , taper , painter etc but I don’t see the option for drywall the only have painting .
Listen people! It does NOT cost you $$ to get leads. It costs POINTS. Points which you get for free by putting in your pro referral no# when you buy things. I don’t even know what else I’d do with the points. It’s not done kind of secret scam. It’s a means to get a phone no# of a customer that is need of some electrical/plumbing/painting work.
Hello! I was wondering how do I add interior and exterior painting services to my pro referral occupation?
I just signed up for Home Depot Pro Referral service. My question is where can you see how many points you have and can you purchase points. Thanks!
Question, can the client leave feedback about you?
So i signed up and right after paying background check i read about the points! Lol so what if theres not a HD in my town an i cant shop as often. Can i still get leads?
I buy a lot from Home Depot. They seem to be a good company. I like them better than lose. Thanks for sharing
I'm sure you also love making 12 hr right
Thanks for your videos :) question; What do you think of working on door installations etc with Lowes, is it worth it as a GC?
No. From my experience as a licensed contractor the big box stores do not pay the rates required to hold a license and corresponding overhead included with such.
Do you need llc to do this
And electrical leads are 80 points!
I liked your video. Question, does home depot request you to get works comp ensurance?
No. Just liability
Thanks buddy! Great video.
I hope it’s not a scam
Good info I was curious about that, can you explain a little more how much each lead costs . I guess they charge you Home Depot card?
No. Your pro account accumulates points with $ you spend under your contractor account. 2 points for every dollar you spend. The pro referral charges against those points for their leads. No actual $ is charged for the leads.
SearchingforSignalLLC ok cool thanks
So for every $20 you spend you get a $40 lead. Im a journeyman electrician and carpenter and home repair remodel and maintenance, they will only list master electricians even if journeyman is recognized by your state, so are yoh telling me that only a master will get a ceiling fan job or small electrical job that a master dont want anyway? Bc they are telling me this??
Do customers choose the pro's or does HD simply farm the customers info to pros and then pros contact customer? What is the average cost in points for leads? I see it says 40-80 points on the HD site. What's your experience on the lead costs? Can you buy points?
Thats what im trying to find out cause i shop at lowes lol but they dont offer a pro program here and i dont have a HD in my twon haha
Home Depot sends you leads to your app when customers inquire at the store. You then see their name, their city, and what they want done. You can then choose to accept the lead for 40 points or pass on the lead for no points.
Hello my question is Can you list what service you are willing to provide to customers before lead generating?
Yes. The categories are a bit limiting, but you can choose what types of work you will do.
Well of course if you're paying out its paid leads
You aren't actually paying out for the leads. You are given 1,000 points at the start, and then you are given points when you spend money on anything at Home Depot. I think their idea is that you accepting jobs through Home Depot will result in buying the materials from them. You definitely don't have to, though. You can just use the 1,000 points and then be done and never use it again.
The biggest problem is people who aren't serious like to request contractors and then flake when you contact them and waste your points.
so then the homedepot credit cards or loans don't pay for the pros services?
Points based on money spent with home depot. I dont have their credit card so I cant speak for their credits.
Thanks for the video, for some reason I figured they would be far more controlling since they’re so big and can basically get away with it. I was very hesitant to ask for more information after making that mistake with Home Advisor, that guy still calls and just wont take a hint.
They texted and called for three years until he got the message that it's not a good deal but I guess we all have a job to do
Hey. Do you have to be a licensed contractor or can you be a handyman that has a legal company name and a ge tax number and registered with the DCCA
You do not need to be a licensed contractor
Depending on what category
How much do they charge per lead very important information missing here ok
All of my leads so far have cost 40 points. You are given 1,000 points when you sign up. So there is room for you to try it to see if you like it before you would have to buy any materials or tools from them.
How long did it take for you to get your first leads?
I'm in Detroit metro area so same day i was getting inquires
How do you know how many points you have?
The app will show them
Hello great video is pro only for handyman‘s and General Contractor‘s or subcontractors also use ??? It
The problem here is this, yes the company needs to provide all information along with licenses and insurance when required, though the employees working for these companies are not licensed or certified. All of these companies such as Home Depot, Lowe's, and all home warranty services including lead generating companies are getting to the point where they will decide how much you will be making how how your business will grow because they want their cut. Sad !
If this dictates your business and how much it will grow, you probably should just go back to work for someone else.
It is Sad!
Totally not understanding your issue. I have no idea how these companies dictate your price. This is simply a means by which a contractor gets contacted about a person needing work. You take it over from there.
You just get a simple message “x###x needs interior painting. Call, message or email them” .
That’s that. I don’t understand your issues at all.
Absolute the worst service I have ever tried to use. Will never go back.
why what hepppen ? do u mind to tell us
@@Truthh4040 of course.... he just bitches and provides 0 explaination. Useless comment.
What city?
Home depot pro refferal jobs are sh_t. $20 a lead?! Thats ridiculous! Customer you get there want to pay you like $25 hr like w tf! A service technician costs me 25 hr plus after workers compensation and auto insurance and training/ meetings the burden rate (actual rate) for the technician is $56 hr. I guess let's all pay for the PRIVELEGE OF WORKING! THATS SAD. what has the US come down to. Slavery
That is NOT how this works!!
