    Thank you so much for the tips for those of us with small hands! I never thought I’d be able to palm a card but this has got me practicing.

    Something I do is I use the ad cards and I'll take them everywhere and have them in Palm. I didn't matter if they get bent so there great

    I dont have much of a problem with doing a CP and keeping the card there, but about half of the time people tell me i palmed the card. When i ask them how they know, itis always the same answer. You did something like placing the card back on the deck. It is a problem which isnt usually discussed in either free or paid tutorials. Now i just wanna thank you for making this video and talking about this part.

    I've never had a good palm cauz unfortunately in many tutorial you don't have those tips «what to do» «what you shouldn't do» it's just «like that» so that video is really usefull especially for me (i have the problem with releasing the card)

    @alexpandrea Right now, this is my favorite magic channel on UA-cam (next to DisturbReality). I love, that you give more the pro tips and performing tips. Especially the psycholocal things, like unjustified moves. I would love to see some live performances of you, maybe teach some complete routines. And especially I would love to hear you talking a bit about crowd control and performing itself.
    Anyway...keep it up this way!

    How do you avoid palming more than one card? When I dribble, the last top cards generally tend to "stick" together, which makes it then difficult to palm only the top one without using a break (which takes time and destroys the flow of the palming...).

    Ah damn i can do a one handed top palm palm from bottom etc but the card is just simply bigger than my hand in every direction. Tenkai no problem lateral no problem. I mean i guess i could use bridge cards but ehhhh just no. Do you know if i could perhaps one handed lateral palm the card kinda like in tony changs color change if you know which one i mean

    Worked construction for many decades. Have large wide hands. Can palm a card and cover it with 3 fingers. Trouble is that my hands are so callused that a double lift is nearly impossible. I can't tell 1 card from 4. Any suggestions?.

    I know I can palm good but I'm too scared to use it live in front of the audience.

    • @ThreeStrikeRule
      @ThreeStrikeRule 6 років тому +12

      The trick is to just throw it when it doesn't matter.
      So I may control their card to the bottom and then palm the top card.
      If they spot it then I can make a gag if they don't then I get experience.
      Same with the classic force. Always just practice it.

    • @vincequinitio7863
      @vincequinitio7863 6 років тому

      Kalpit Borkar same

    • @ki-seonpeck9069
      @ki-seonpeck9069 6 років тому +7

      Kalpit Borkar I performed card to pocket in front of a live audience, and what I did was I saying a joke. While the audience was laughing, that gave me the opportunity to palm off the card. I did the same thing when I needed to palm off the whole deck. The key is misdirection. The cards are bigger than my hands, so I have to heavily rely on misdirection to compensate for my small hands.

    • @ThreeStrikeRule
      @ThreeStrikeRule 6 років тому +2

      People will tend to follow your gaze so don't be looking at your hands as you palm. Use a question or patter to make them focus elsewhere. Windows in your fingers won't matter if they're not looking at your hands anymore.

      Change the angle of your hand. If you have windows, don’t show the the back of your hand head on, slowly tilt your hand forward until the windows disappear

  • @garybiles3458
    @garybiles3458 6 років тому

    i really do not like this method for a top palm, the way the hand is placed nearly flat on top of the deck is a complete giveaway in my opinion, i much prefer the vernon or berg palm where the hand stays arched and does not dip

    • @ki-seonpeck9069
      @ki-seonpeck9069 6 років тому

      Gary Biles I would normally agree with you, but Alex does it so smoothly. I think people just half ass palms too much, unlike Alex. He took a questionable palming technique and somehow made it look amazing. Thats just my opinion though.

    • @garybiles3458
      @garybiles3458 6 років тому

      Critical Movie Fan yeah, he certainly executes the technique very well, he executes every technique very well to be fair, i just think that are better methods out there where the hand does not dip, more the card is levered into a higher arched palm, the hand does not need to flatten in order to get the card into palm, just my thoughts though but sure, alex is a fine fine magician
