absolutely! they pulled ALL stops. from his first shot all the way to the end of the show. he was the main focus. NO ONE forgot about Bron but HE was the focus. Bron was more focus during the match imo. i know bron was working him but weve seen him do this we EXPECT this from him. they're building him good as well. this wasn't a build for him imo. rn this is the REGULAR for him. bron is going to destroy whoever, whenever, wherever! these backstage clashes are crazy. cody on smackdown. now this! keep it up.

They could have just had Bron attack him backstage like he did before it's no reason to involve him in this angle if he was leaving 2nd they didn't have to have Sam on cam they could have just told us she left to go to the hospital with him in my opinion if he is leaving non of this makes sense plus I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be able to be on AEW TV until next year or so ....but I think wwe is working us all

Part of me is leaning towards him staying as WWE has gotten really good at all of these "leaks" lately and all these contracts expiring and turning it to their advantage. I will say this Bron Breaker and Dragonov put on a great hard hitting match and then after it just seemed relentless how vicious they want Bron Breaker to look. If it is Ricochet's last thing in WWE for a while he goes out making someone look like a total badass but the whole Samantha Irvin focus after suggests that it could be leading to a big return for him down the line to seek revenge.
Absolutely agree about Bron v Dragunov.... Toledo crowd didn't deserve the quality they got there. Weak pop for one of the best Breakker/Dragunov matches ever.

Everybody's got talent. Ethan Page did few things in 4 years in AEW, and he was in the main event on his first match on NXT.
You act like both companies can’t have talent.
Ricochet has never been irreplaceable. Yes, he can do a ton of flips and dives, but there are a bunch of ppl who can do the same thing. Edge was far more valuable and more accomplished, and WWE let him walk. The problem with wrestling fans is that they only look at talent. Ricochet wasn't charismatic and didn't connect with the crowd well enough for them to care about him. Samantha was more over than him, and she's just an announcer.

If anything, it’s acknowledgement that you don’t want talent just walking to your main competitor/rival promotion.

Since they've already acknowledged on screen that Ricochet and Samantha are together then I think it would make even less sense for her NOT to be backstage with Ricochet in the ambulance, regardless of whether or not Ricochet is leaving. If this were a shoot she wouldn't just sit at ring side watching her fiance get brutally assaulted and do nothing.

Fair point but that's not the first time she has seen him get beat up pretty badly and she never went to check on him before..granted this was the most brutal beat down she ever witnessed..but stilll to add her to the story probably means he isn't leaving. Because if he does leave and she just goes back to during her job regularly it leaves a big plot hole

I will say as one counter point, they could have decided to still do the best down but instead of showing him being carted into the ambulance with her at his side, simply made an announcement from a commentary cut away, allowing for fans to have a more definitive disconnection point.
As it stands fans will absolutely be invest in this story and ricochet, and while that isn’t to say that he is definitely staying with wwe, I could see this being an attempt to buy him over by setting him up for a big storyline where in if he chooses to come back he will have momentum behind him, but if he chooses to leave well he was effectively written off.
They did it to make it believable think about it, if you see your mate get attacked would you just continue to sit there and do your job or would you get in the ambulance and ride with them to the hospital?

People really forget he was in a main event situation with Brock Lesnar at Saudi Arabia. Not saying he should be in the main event, just saying that’s how quick it was.
If he is leaving, it kinda sucks. This was the best positioning he has had. His wife jumping in, that is so good for him and Bron. Gives both men something to sink into.

They kinda did this with Balor leaving, and then he resigned at the last minute. I totally agree. Breaker torments Irvin while destroying Dragunov to keep his heat up. Ricochet coming back sets up a major program that I would totally root for.
I belive they put the light on Samantha because she will hold the grudge with Bron. Samantha gives certain people special entrances, maybe she will despise Bron for taking her fiance out of the WWE. They can do the bully Bronn angle with Ilja instead of Ricochet if need be.
What's so crazy is all these contracts ending is making for ALOT of conversation. Crazy thing is from Drew, to Seth, & Becky the person I've seen alot of us speak the most about is Ricochet and his contract ending. He went out in a BIG WAY and it's a huge cliffhanger that can have him over massive if he does return.
But on another note they've also just made Bron Breakker looked like the most dangerous man on the roster for Monday Night Raw too. I'm curious to see where all this goes.

Kinda like steamboat left WWF for WCW years ago his first match beat flair for the title however the turn around was really fast. He immediately dropped the belt in the rematch and was out of the main event scene

I think Ricochet leaving is a work. They cannot follow up with Ricochet’s injury angle with Samantha hoping on the ambulance. The only way it would work really is if she was leaving too, which won’t happen. My guess is that Ricochet will just go onto free agency, take a hiatus, and return at Money in the Bank or a week or two before it to get payback on Breaker which will set up their PPV match. What will the reaction and the promos Breaker will going to give if he shows up at AEW or elsewhere? I ran your fiancé out of this company, and he is a coward for leaving? It would be anti-climatic. And not hero like. The story is there. Lets hope its right. Spot on analysis by Bubba.

Wrestling does not comes first in WWE. Most of the show is talking in ring promos, backstage promos, backstage fights, promotional segments for their next PLE, and soap opera reality type stuff, very little actual in ring wrestling. So if you are a true wrestling fan, then AEW is closer to true than WWE.

It's always cool to hear Bully say it: In AEW, the action is "balls to the walls", in the context of his comments about what he thinks Ricochet will have to do there to get over. Now, in full AEW mark mode, I will say that this is why I prefer AEW overall - the promotion that really puts on Total Non-Stop Action (pun intended). Yeah, you need stories and character development. Kudos to WWE for doing that very well, but I'm one of the niche market that still pops more for the graps, spot-fu, balls-to-the-walls, sh-t show. No problem with that. It's a preference.

Thing are unpredictable and we’ve seen people who we never expected to return eventually return, so they could have gotten Samantha Irvin at the end just so incase he does come back they have something to play with.

Bully hit it on the head. I been telling folks on SquaredCircle. Not even just the Samantha situation, think of Xia Li, Cameron Grimes etc that batch of releases. The last match was just that, a last match. If they had left it from the Bronn interference after the match from the previous week - then I'd be more willing to entertain the rumors. But even without Samantha, they introduced a building dynamic with Ilja and building a feud with Bronn. Already, and more so with Samantha in the mix, Its not a send off, its a new angle.
The company's been real savvy with how they play wjth the dynamics of the reports too - what if they had Ricochet acknowledge that his contract was running up to stir the pot with the possibility of him leaving and ultimately getting interest and getting more eyes invested into this new angle being set up? No one's sure until things pan out - but this feels more so the situation with how things have shown to be.

@@MrThesupremeking He has always stood out with his moves as a Human Highlight Reel, had big solo matches against Logan Paul and Lesnar. Even had a great solo feud with AJ Styles for the US title. In AEW, he'll be relevant for a few months up until he has another match with Ospreay and then he'll be lost in shuffle like other ex WWE guys with the exception of Jericho, Cole, Bryan, Adam, Christian and Claudio. There are too many wrestlers in AEW that can do what he does and most of them are younger than him.

@@MrThesupremeking I would book a huge match for him and Bron at Summerslam. Cuz with what Bully said could be a potential story for Bron, Ric and Samantha, Ricochet will have the emotional investment of the fans to the point where Ricochet could actually be the first guy on the main roster to pin Bron. Now this also gives Ricochet the opportunity to work on his promos like finding a promo style that he's most comfortable in. I'm telling you the only thing holding him back is his mic work. If he gets that down, he may even get a world title run.

Re: Ricochet/Samantha interactions, there's been a video going around lately during the Ricochet/Braun teaming time of Ricochet being totally out of it, Braun grabbing some mistletoe and holding it over Ricochet's head, and telling Samantha to kiss him. They acknowledged the relationship there (might have been the first time), and Ricochet did a total hulk-up as a result. Like hulked up enough he could've killed Bron if they'd done that, like it was Popeye's spinach. :)
Bully Ray’s narration of that possible Ricochet story gave me chills.
I said almost the exact same thing monday. I told my friends IF Breakker starts interacting with Samantha next week, Ricochet is definitely coming back.

Up until that segment on Raw, I thought Ricochet was definitely going to AEW, but I think his best option is to negociate a better deal with WWE with this newfound publicity of both that segment and the potential of him going to AEW looming over WWE's head, I think that despite the chances of him being involved in more main events in AEW and probably being a slightly bigger fish there than he would in WWE, this is a great opportunity for him to grow more interest, long-term from the fans as a WWE wrestler than being a slightly bigger fish in AEW before interest in him will die completely within a month, it's a risk worth taking.
Also let's say he IS leaving, the reports were saying at first his contract expires sometime this summer.
Maybe he still has some time and they will do a last feud with him against Breakker to try to make money and maybe convince him to stay.
The reports started saying oh monday will be his last date, but we don't know when the contract really ends.
Or maybe he did sign a short term extension to do this feud and see if he wants to resign with the wwe long term.
First time commenting here and it's to say B Ray nailed it I think. Plus, I like ricochet but does need this push (or presentation as corny would use) plus it'll boost both him and the Scott Norton clone. And the fulfillment of ricochet leaving happened (he left to go to hospital & recover).
If Bron brags about it next week and weeks on end or it gets brought up continuously I’m sure he’s resigning. Seeing Samantha in the ambulance with Ricochet shows me there is something going on.
There's plenty of talent in AEW for Ricochet to work with other than Ospreay...Swerve, Pac, Omega, Fenix, Takeshita, Danielson, Okada, MJF, Perry...and younger talent like Dante Martin and Kyle Fletcher

Before I talk about Ricochet, I just want to say this...
Bully has been getting a ton of hate for his comments in this video.
I just don't understand why AEW fans think he's always talking shit on that company.
Bully is as fair as it gets and will critique the negatives of any company. He has the right to do that as a fan and as a veteran of the business.
Now about Ricochet.
There's a good chance he's leaving but AEW isn't the place for him. I believe he'll be great in TNA. He could be the face of their X-Division or even be a World Champion. In AEW he would struggle finding a permanent spot on the card after he feuds with Will Ospreay. I don't think there's much for him in AEW.
Now if he stays in WWE we could finally get a real story with him. Maybe the story with Bron will elevate him and make them love him even more. In all honesty Ricochet could get championship matches in WWE and no I'm not just talking about mid-card championships. Let's be real here, WWE has Damien Priest as World Champion. Does anyone think he's worthy of that championship? Ricochet could surprise people and became so over that WWE would have to give him something like a MITB win.
If the route is to have Ricochet comeback after last night it’s the perfect story and it accomplishes two things at once we get another over babyface (because we need it) and we continue building Bron as a heel and a force to be reckoned with.

Samantha Irvin was there because it would be weird if she wasn't? The entire fan base knows that's his wife. It would make zero sense for her to just sit there and happily ignore that angle like it's nothing.
If ricochet goes too AEW, he'll be only known for only the moves, sure he'll get a big opening pop but there be no follow up and he'll end up just another body there

Ricochet in AEW better be making ROCK money, because, aside from a few "five-star" matches with Wil Osprey, there is nothing there for him. Less audience, less opportunities, less recognition, less long-term $$$.
Here is another avenue that could be explored. One of ricochets best friends is also Braun strowman. Once Braun finds out what Braun breaker did Braun strowman would want to get revenge on Mr breaker. At what a collision that could be to have Braun strowman go against Braun breaker

Bully Ray, you make a good point and to be honest i thought the same thing. I'm a 45 year wrestling fan, seeing the whole thing go down and Samantha leaving with him, didn't tell me he is leaving. He is coming back but maybe with a different persona. I just don't see him leaving cause he won't be treated any different anywhere else. With all thes smaller wrestlers, they need to get rid of that speed title bring back either te Cruiserweight Title or Light Heavyweight Title. If Ricochet is gone then should they be best moving Bron or Samantha to Smackdown so they weren’t on the same show? Samantha announcing Bron, especially once he wins a title wouldn’t sit right… it would generate heat and not have a satisfactory resolution to it
