@Ethan Brean i know your question has already been answered but i wanna add on, gender identity isnt something you pick and choose, therefore someone being non binary has no "goal", just the same as cis people dont have a goal being a man or a woman, its just that they see themselves somewhere on the gender spectrum that doesnt fit either male or female! regarding pronouns, although pronouns ≠ gender (someone can identify as a girl and use he/they for example just cause they like those better), most non binary people dont like he or she cause they are usually associated with genders (he for men and she for women), and they dont want to be perceived that way!! keep in mind pronouns are just a part of the language, and language constantly changes so assigning yourself a different set of pronouns should in theory not be that complicated

@Ethan Brean i know your question has already been answered but i wanna add on, gender identity isnt something you pick and choose, therefore someone being non binary has no "goal", just the same as cis people dont have a goal being a man or a woman, its just that they see themselves somewhere on the gender spectrum that doesnt fit either male or female! regarding pronouns, although pronouns ≠ gender (someone can identify as a girl and use he/they for example just cause they like those better), most non binary people dont like he or she cause they are usually associated with genders (he for men and she for women), and they dont want to be perceived that way!! keep in mind pronouns are just a part of the language, and language constantly changes so assigning yourself a different set of pronouns should in theory not be that complicated
