After the partition, there were 22% Hindus that remained in Pakistan and 14% Muslims stayed behind in India. Karachi was Hindu majority area. Majority of the business and land in and near Lahore was owned by Hindus.
Today there is no Hindu left alive in Lahore and barely any affluent Hindus remaining in Karachi. While the Hindu population in Pakistan now is only 1% of total population.
Whereas 17% of India population is now Muslims
There are 2 questions..
1. Why was this partition created if there are more Muslims still in India than in Pakistan?
2. What happened to 21% of missing Hindu population in Pakistan since the partition time?

Nehru wanted people of the state to decide where they should join but Jinnah wanted state head to decide where to join because he was interested in rich states of Hyderabad and junagad as their head was Muslim ruler but population was majority hindu. Kashmir ruler wanted to be independent country but since Pakistan attacked it inspire of standstill agreement Pakistan forced king to join India.
