What is the Bun JavaScript Runtime?

  • According to its official definition: "Bun is a fast all-in-one JavaScript runtime". It claims very significant performance numbers and features. So in this video we look at it on the surface level. I hope you'll find it helpful.

      Yes, but again my tests don't explain much. Runtime testing is a beast of a topic.

    But there is not much difference in performance if you see bun did in 3.4 ms where as node did in 0.23 ma

    wait!! node is the fastest? these tests need to be re-run. deno added a new and faster server. and bun is also version 0.3 now.
    and, would be nice to have a tutorial how to perform such tests. writing the code is not hard, but getting the numbers is something I didn't get the time and interest (until now) to learn
