Going baseline with the weak hand while there is help on the baseline and finishing.... Damn. That's what separates Bone from the rest. Crazy shit like that.
@Rocstar911148 Yeah in Traveling. Hotsauce is way too weak of a guard. Bone has stronger handle, way quicker first step, more aggression, better in the paint, and can actually play some damn defense.
True True. I see where ur goin with this. Fancy plays in the clutch are risky and if u get a L because u went for style points, postgame in the locker room with coach is gonna be hell. but u have to give it to the guys who have the guts to make a fancy play in the clutch and pull it off for a win. Do we agree there? I could do this all day cuz u kno basketball and u kno what ur talkin about, so respect for that. alotta guys on here just talk and talk and make no sense.
Yes i understand what you're saying completely. But the thing that most likely caught their eye was that they have the ability to help the team not by lobbing alley-oop passes from half court, but by being able to help the team by making smart plays and stuff like that. Sure they do have that playground style, but you don't always see Rafer Alston and Marbury trying to throw up alley-oop passes. The reason why NBA players play in EBC and Kingdome is to just have fun.
For coaches it's more about making the easy play, rather then style. Sometimes there is a fine line between being serious and just having fun. And the coaches are looking for more of the serious players. I'm sure you know what i'm talking about since you play college ball. It's like if there was a really close game, the coaches don't want to see you throw up bad passes and fancy dunks, they want you to make the easy passes and easy lay-ups
Bone Got A Nasty Heezy,And Quick Off The 1st Step And Dribbles Low And Quick Making It Hard To Steal Cause If You Bend Down To Low He Just Going To Crossover.Alimoe Mostly Has Inside Game,His Arms Extend Like KG's,Thats Why When He Crosses Over,He Dribbles Out Wide Extending His Arms Making It More Effective.
Sure it's alright to show boat every once in a while, but the coaches are looking for more of the serious type players who can give the team a win. The reason why NYC started all these tournements (EBC, Kingdome, Dyckman etc.) is to give the people something to do. To entertain the crowd. Sure their will be serious moments in the game, but most of the time, the players will be show boating to make sure the crowd is happy.
the tile of this is misleading, the blue team (homicide n Bone Collector) did the thing sure, but Alimoe on the Grey team was in like one sequence, he only played in like 6 minutes of that game and he was guarding Homicide, get it right
think about the playstyle of nyc born NBA players. (Marbury, telfair, kenny anderson, earl monroe, rod strickland, speedy claxton, rafer alston just to name a few. And those are the ones who had success in the laegue so many others were there for a little while but none the less they were there. Some NBA GM's had to see they were worth a contract and a spot on an NBA roster. They all got there playin fancy nyc blacktop ball U kno what im sayin?
bone could play in the league if he was given a decent shot bone is actually one of the street ballers i got the most respect for for having a real game mixed with the streetball flair he could play in the league but aint no one trying to give my dude a chance
but if u could throw down windmills and throw behind the back passes and alley oops and do it successfully u would definitely make that team and put your program and your coach on the map. Im positive u kno how nyc ball players play i played college ball out here in 05'06 as a freshman.
yea yur right, but they also realize they gotta play up because there are guys out there that could really hand it to 'em and when the EBC tournament is comin to an end in august and its time to win a chip dont u always see NBA guys step up a little bit more, and maybe even play tight D? Thats probably the transitional period right there from a show for the fans to a serious game that counts for something. Because lets face it an EBC title gives u street cred and NBA players want street cred.
But MJ was just doing those stuff for fun. He was never really serious about any of those. Most coaches would not like the way players show boat. It's like if a person was trying out for the school team, and he was the best in the school, but instead of making the easy passes and lay-ups, he would go for the fancy windmill dunks or alley-oop passes. Those are the type of players coaches don't like
So... what do you think about Bone Collector? I mean... U see this video. Even his team lost (I don't know the score) NOBODY can't stop him! He's 2 Fast 2 Furious :p. So can he plays to the nba? Peace
the truth about streetball i barely came to realize..when and1 first came out with volume 1 they weren't trying to show a circus...they were trying to show real ballers.. skip..alimoe shane..and all of those guys didn't have the same mentality as hot sauce or the professor..they were just ballin..now that people be hatin on the moves and shit people act as if they can't be nice anymore
Yea but MJ did try to embarras opponenets alot. Remeber his dunk on Mutombo and the finger wagging? or his trash talk with Drexler and portland in the finals when he did that "no one could hold me" shrug from his shoe commercial. So yea show boating is not the NBA but Jordan did it and managed six chips cuz he was that good. and look at skip he use to play just to embarrass the defender but he changed up cuz he realized he could play in the league. Alimoe would do the same if he got a chance.
i agree but you really cant get on sauce and fess to much cuz thats how the were meant to play but you can blame the people for the downturn everybody has something about what they do if they do tricks they cant play if they play real ball then they didnt put on a good enough show so the stereotype come form the fans and the haters
lol to be in the NBA, you can't do any show boating what so ever. No matter how good you are. If MJ only cared about embarressing the dude instead of making the easy play or bucket, then he wouldn't be in the NBA. But no doubt, some ppl on and1 and ebc have skill to play at NBA level

This game Homicide made his bones. He killed RR (Ruff Ryders) that game. BC just complimented him that night.
VW DT yea it was a coming out party for him. It started a big rivalry between him and alimoe.
Rip Alimoe.
U talkin about the And1 guys?

the tile of this is misleading, the blue team (homicide n Bone Collector) did the thing sure, but Alimoe on the Grey team was in like one sequence, he only played in like 6 minutes of that game and he was guarding Homicide, get it right
Dayo Olufade alimoe got into foul trouble this game.
