- We finally made it to Mount Rushmore in this July 4th episode! This has been a huge bucket list item checked off. We walked the Presidential Trail with the kids, while learning all about this national monument. It rained a bit and it made the presidents look like they were crying. We stayed to watch the lighting and Kellan & Presley received their first National Park Jr Ranger badges with the McVey boys!
Big thank you to Joanna McVey for taking some really amazing family portraits of us at Mount Rushmore! The really good one of all the kids was also her talent.

*Note: we discovered an unfortunate downside to editing videos that we shot a year ago. Our vlogging camera somehow got switched from 1080p to 780 and we never realized it. Our apologies for the downgrade in quality! Thankfully we got some camera upgrades later in 2022 as well.

Nice video. I loved Mount Rushmore. I have been to the same campground at Palmer Gulch a couple of times. My kids really loved it when they were little. They spent a lot of time on the water slide but it was too cold for me.
Yes, that campground is amazing but the water slide was definitely cold!
