My dad liked creamed corn in his pancakes…pass. I like blueberries in pancakes, but I really prefer them plain, fluffy, and with plenty of butter and syrup. Classic for a reason!

Thanks Emmy for being one of the consistently great people on youtube. I can only name a handful of worthwhile accounts and yours is definitely near the top of that list.

The ability to acknowledge that this “hack” is BS isn’t solely dependent on having experience with air fryers. I’ve never used an air fryer but I’ve made tens of thousands of pancakes before and pancakes only look like the final product in the vid when they’re cooked on a hot surface. Not steamed, not baked. But pseudo fried on a HOT skillet with some kind of fat- be it butter or oil. It’s the only way to achieve that imperfect, dark browning pattern. You simply will not get that from cooking pancakes any other way. Plus- common sense should tell people that when you stack a bunch of stuff on top of each other, it gets heavy. So how did all the pancakes magically puff up (rise) the same amount? They didn’t and they won’t.
Several years ago I started making my pancakes as a cake lol. Mix batter, pour into greased 9x13 cake pan, bake at 350° until done. Wonderful, fast, easy, hot, & fluffy
When I first got an air fryer, I quickly learned that yes, you CAN cook a lot of things in it. But that doesn't mean you SHOULD, or that it is actually a good way to do it. Cue me trying to air fry hard-boiled eggs and ending up with a stinky mess.

Pancakes are the easiest things to make in the kitchen or on your table. It’s almost as easy as toasting SLICES OF BREAD!! You don’t have to go those EXTRA STEPS to make AIR FRYER pancakes! Some “social media creators” do those things to “impress” followers…. 🙄especially people who don’t cook AT ALL- then they get kicked out of their parents’ house and NOW they have to make all their meals!

I really like this channel. The first 20% of this video was an advertisement. I get the need to advertise, but frequently when the first thing I'm presented with is an ad I just click away. I guess with so many subscribers maybe it doesn't matter.
I feel like if you wanna cook some cake in an air fryer… just do it in a mini cake tin or a ramekin! The top will probably get crispy and brown for some texture and toasty flavour, and you could line your container with paper to stop it from sticking. Might even be able to get that to work with pancake batter.
Maybe it would be better for precooked toaster pancakes, as in perhaps the air fryer cooks them quicker than a toaster would, but I doubt it because air fryers take a minute to heat up to temp. However, I would be curious to see how this would turn out versus a toaster.

they turned out exactly how i thought, you might be able to make one. i didnt think it would work cause every time you add one your adding weight to the ones below and there is no way the moisture can escape and they cant rise. the bottom one might be closer to a crape then a pancake.
