    Hi, I am a new user of Agisoft, whats the different between importing CSV and Adding Markers?

    Hello Justyna,
    First, thank you for this tutorial !! Good job !
    i have a question about the GCP for georeferencing.
    how do you georeference images and integrate gcp with coordinates in another projection?
    I explain, I have images with WGS84 coordinates but to improve the accuracy I need to use points in a more precise local projection. Unfortunately when I import these points they are not visible in the model.
    And there are no image matches when I click on these points (landmarks).
    Ps: sorry for my english i'm french !
    Best regards,
    Marc

      In the reference pane, click "reference settings" icon (the last one in the row) and you can independently choose a coordinate system for your cameras (WGS84) and then the local coordinate system for your markers.

    Thank you for your video. Do you know if I can use local/arbitrary coordinate system for the GCP?

    • @justynajeziorska6205
      @justynajeziorska6205  Рік тому

      Yes, your GCP can be in the local system. But the. If you will try to align the photos to them, there needs to a transformation. As far as I know Agisoft does transformation from different geographic/projected systems but with your local one you will probably just need to stick to it and have the whole project in local coordinates

    Super filmik. Jestem ciekawy czy końcowe parametry zostały wygenerowane same czy też musiałaś je "wyciągnąć" z programu pojedynczo ? Jeśli same to czy masz jakiś filmik jak to robisz ? Pozdrawiam

      @justynajeziorska6205  3 роки тому

      Końcowe parametry w raporcie są generowane automatycznie po przejściu całego procesu przetwarzania. Niektóre można kontrolować - np. ustawiając "tie point limit" przy
      procesie "align photos", a niektóre, jak na przykład errors, są kalkulowane przez program.

    Hi Justyna, Thx. for the detailed explanation. For the updated ver. 1.6 of Metashape, if I want to determine the height of an object (Tree,Building etc.) using the DSM and DTM (as described in the Ver. 1.6 Metashape manual), how can the DTM be determined and then "DSM-DTM= height" be determined ? Thx.

    • @justynajeziorska6205
      @justynajeziorska6205  Рік тому

      There is a option “filter ground points”. It has 3 parameters describing the angle, radius and conditions to determine which points will be classified as ground. It is not perfect but you can achieve ok results. Then you go to generate DEM and you indicate “only ground points” that should create a “bare earth” DEM. Note that the wholes where the items (vegetation, buildings…) were will be interpolated so you will see flat spots in their places

    • @justynajeziorska6205
      @justynajeziorska6205  Рік тому

      And then I took it out of Agisoft to GIS software (QGIS and GRASS opensouce and free) and just a simple map calculation of differences between the layers.
      If you want to calculate the tree tops w height I recommend using R package ForestTools

    Good video.
    1 - In the Alignment Process you didn´t show the number of key and tie points and how many do we have to use.
    2 - In the optimization, Do I always have to select all the coefficients or its depends of the camera that I used?
    3 - when I create the Dense cloud, I use HIGH and AGRESSIVE - Am i doing something wrong?
    I hope you can help me.

    • @justynajeziorska6205
      @justynajeziorska6205  5 років тому

      1 - Unless there is a problem with alignment, I go with the default values
      2 - No, you don't have to check all the coefficients, unfortunately, I am not an expert on camera optics, but from what I know, the k coefficients are not as crucial
      3 - HIGH accuracy for the dense cloud generation requires much more computational power, if your computer is powerful enough and your project not too big, you can certainly go for HIGH. It will just take more time. Using Mild, Moderate or Aggressive depth filtering depends on the amount of the outliers you want to preserve. If you are modeling a surface with complex geometry (like plants) and you want to preserve all the details you should use Mild or even turn the depth filtering off.

    • @justynajeziorska6205
      @justynajeziorska6205  3 роки тому

      There is no way to mosaic two independent orthophotos as far as I know. There is a way of processing the imagery in chunks. As a result you have two partial datasets (chunks) and merge it together with the use of ground control points.

  • @volantdronesolutions2866

    Justyna, when you are processing your DEM, are you using Depth Cloud as the source to produce a DSM? I am relatively new to Metashape and trying to use the DEM to create a DSM, capturing both natural and artificial features of the environment

    • @justynajeziorska6205
      @justynajeziorska6205  Рік тому

      The only way of doing both the DEM and DSM is by filtering the ground points.
      Once you have the dense point cloud go to tools and classify ground points. That would allow you to have just ground points based on them you can build a DEM. It is very tricky with irregular or dense vegetation though.

      Only the vector files can be exported as shp since it’s a vector supporting file extension. Any points, polygons or lines you create on the project (like contours) can be exported as shp.
      Orthophotos and DSM are rasters, you have multiple file extensions for storage, the most commonly used in GIS software is GeoTiff.
      I recommend exporting points to las or laz, all the geospatial software can handle it.
      The models- it depends what kind of modeling environment do you want to bring them in. I found .obj format pretty versatile
